Vétiver/Earth
In their paper on recent trends in fragrance chemistry (Armanino, N., Charpentier, J., Flachsmann, F., Goeke, A., Liniger, M. and Kraft, P., 2020. Hot air or cool scent? Trends in olfactory chemistry over the last 20 years. Angewandte Chemie, 132(38), pp.16450-16487.) the authors mention Radish Vetiver as an example of an 'earthy-vegetable' perfume with 20% Haiti Vetiver oil, these earthy aspects probably being related to (-)-geosmin. This statement coincides with my perception of Radish Vetiver, a strong vetiver surrounded by all sorts of green stuff - Anarlan's GreenhouseX is apt. Radish I don't perceive, at least not what corresponds to the Bavarian Radi or the Portuguese Nabu - maybe the Japanese Daikon is different again - but a lot around it, meaning earth. The whole thing is in sympathetic neighborhood to the, moist vetiver classic par excellence, Route Du Vétiver, but here with a clear synthetic aquatic impact, nice.
