Life is stirring...
Hadn't I just heard a buzzing, a busy, cheerful chirping, hadn't a sparrow just flown past me with a twig in its beak? Wasn't the spring sunlight caressing my cheeks and that little breeze, wasn't it soft and peaceful? Didn't the Sunday bells ring from afar through the village and anemones bloom along the paths? In the midst of the sleet, a hint of spring wafted over me, the sweet scent of chamomile and fresh grass. Life is stirring everywhere, I smile and wipe the cold drops from my nose. I'm almost sure I've seen a squirrel and when I close my eyes I hear the call of a blackbird.

Yoyogi is fresh, lush green and full of life. In these gray December days, he conjures up a little picture of nature's imminent awakening...

Somewhere in the early 20th century, composer Erik Satie came up with a form of music he called Musique d'ameublement, 'furniture music'. The sort of music that could be played to create a background atmosphere and absorb the noises of the environment instead of serving as the focus of attention. Typically, tone and harmony are emphasized more than structure and melody.

Yoyogi has the exact same effect on me with its smooth blend of woods, incense, chamomile and artemisia. It stays comfortably in the background in a mellow state of both cool and warm, with no rough edges or sudden twists. Very low-key and at the same time very cozy. Parfum d'ameublement.

Lovely scent. I think it is highly versatile, but especially like to be embraced by it in humid and rainy weather.
