Frozen Gardenia Watermelon Cocktail
This is another solid perfume stick in the 'Les Garconnes' collection. Gardenia is indeed the first and most persisting of the notes and is combined with a hefty dose of synthetic watermelon, which gives it a distinctive warm-weather appropriate feeling. In the middle I detect the lime and a whisp of blond tobacco, but honestly, I wish there was more mild tobacco and less calone (I'm not a fan). The storyline on the box describes a girl wearing a 'peculiar' dress covered in Pompons" with an air of insolence about her. There is something a little icy and tart about her, but her fragrance gardenia essence lures you into a conversation with her. I get that feeling, very much from this scent. Although she is beautiful, bright and intriguing, eventually you find you must walk away because she talks of nothing else but herself. Pompon Gardenia is a must try for the Gardenia aficionadas, it is light, airy, and like the whole line of Crazy sticks, short lived, but convenient to reapply.
