Woody Sweet Rose Patchouli
Upon removing the cap of Crazylibellule and the Poppies Les garçonnes ROSE A SAIGON, it seemed that this was going to be a very sweet rose perfume. Although it does open on the skin with lots of fresh and sweet fruitiness, shortly thereafter the patchouli and the woods begin to expand, eventually overtaking the fruit and making this quite a lovely fragrance.
So here, again, I find myself, against all expectations, delighted with yet another creation by the wild and crazy folks at Crazylibellule. I am especially enamored of the Les garçonnes series, but I must say that even in the somewhat less appealing line (because it is more desserty), Poule de luxe, the notes are still super: fantastically fresh and enticing.
The perfume in these sticks does not degrade in quality or morph into other substances--more often than not a serious problem when it comes to fruits on my skin, which often end up as cloying jam. In these creations, the fruits and the flowers stay fresh and vibrant, and in ROSE A SAIGON, a truly scrumptious composition, the patchouli is nice and chewy as well. Highly recommended for fruity floral lovers, this is a very nice take on the rose with relatively low sillage and pretty good longevity.
