*THE* choice for hayrides and bonfires!
The other reviewers have truly summed up this perfume to a T. It is very similar to Obsession, but it isn't that spicy and "masculine," though it is still plenty masculine. I never cared for Obsession, but I do like this. It is sweeter and powderier. (Is that a word?! It is now!) I own it in a mini-splash, which I bought about 4 or so months ago online for less than $5. It is still for sale in this size, but I think you will only find larger spray bottles on ebay. I didn't dare wear it in the summer; it would have been overbearing, but this is a nice, warming and cozy scent for fall and winter. The spices definitely lend themselves to these two seasons. I can see myself sitting by a bonfire, sipping apple cider and wearing this perfume. It's the perfect choice for a hayride! It was noted that this is similar to a chai, and that is true, but if you a looking for a spot-on chai fragrance, you must try Curve Crush. That one has a milky aspect to the spices and smells EXACTLY like a chai. I prefer this scent, actually, because it doesn't have the cardamom note like Curve Crush does.
I got a bit alarmed upon initial application: It smelled like vinegar! And the color when I splash it on!!!...I believe Crayola would call it "Raw Umber." Then it quickly dried down into pencil shavings. But I was patient, and soon it became caramel and cinnamon and vanilla with a cedar-y underlying tang. I get none of the florals. At all. It is all sweet and spicy and powdery. Perfect for night-time wear. The caramel and sweetness keep it from becoming overly masculine, but I think some men could still wear this one.
For the price, this was a win, but it's true that I may not pick it often because I feel it is limited to evenings and hayrides, not to daytime wear (except for men).
