A Ride Too Short
Freetrapper dawns with an aldehyldic zing, something vaguely fruity -- like a moscato -- and a hint of pepper. Gently it blooms into a deep, warm, enveloping, masculine scent, occasionally smoky, which is the amberwood and the frankincense. This brings a smile to my face and as it develops, wafts of this amber-like depth punctuated by pepper rise around me. I have a thing for DS & Durga's "wild" scents and this promised to be a keeper; unfortunately, it peters out around hour six. Placing it on the back of my wrists does help extend the duration a few hours more. When it fades, it becomes a skin scent, slightly earthy scent with some of the initial warmth.

Like most DS & Durga scents, this is enjoyable, well-blended, and gripped with charm. However, I can't hang with scents that only last half the day. If you don't mind that, Freetrapper is an enjoyable but all-too-short ride.

Essential oil from cedar needles. No more, no less.
Smells like a good natural essential oil from cedar needles. Lasts less, costs three times more. Feel fucked. Not frankincense, sandalwood, beaver horny and what else is there)))

A perfume for urban lumberjacks
Beaver trappers were the cowboys of early America. Apostate mountaineers and lumberjacks of the Jacksonian era from 1828, who wandered through the wilderness in search of beaver skins appreciated by hatters, doctors and perfumers. Karl May dedicated a whole book to the "Trapper Vulture's Bill": He got his name from the Indians because of his extraordinarily large nose, and his unusual physiognomy had something about it that immediately instilled confidence. He chewed tobacco passionately and used it to spit at opponents, uncomfortable questioners and arrogant officials (or spit precisely next to them).

This is exactly how it feels to me after the first spray of "Freetrapper". It opens with cedar, bitter orange, a little smoke with a tobacco like note in the background - very aromatic and invigorating. In the colder months it was warm and comforting for me. Now that the weather's heated up, it's lovely and refreshing. It looks very masculine to me, but only because I combine this kind of cedar with lumberjacks. The incense is quite bright, and makes the scent even more mysterious.

After about ten minutes "Freetrapper" becomes softer and changes into a light soapiness together with a swampy medicinal herb. The whole scent seems to be wrapped in a fog, in the way that leaves a slight wetness on the floor when there is fog over it. After some time, the woods take centre stage, so earthy that they seem to be connected to the forest floor. A warm, swampy, great cedarwood scent remains in the drydown. Durga has amazing scents - I love this scent for the summer!

And when I feel like spitting on unteachable officials, I spray myself intensively with "Freetrapper".
