Dapper Dan offers pretty much everything you can imagine about men's care. Based on a strong focus on shaving products, the portfolio has now also expanded into the fragrance segment. The Dapper Dan Cologne was followed in 2018 by the eau de toilette of the same name.
And this places warm patch notes and cognac in the centre of the fragrance. The fragrance is discreetly restrained and resonates on the skin as it tries to attract attention with its massive presence.
Very nice.
The expected overdose of Barbershop is also absent and is rather marked by a combination of slightly smoky sandalwood and minimal citrus freshness. Dapper Dan deliberately uses a natural scent background and does without the overdrive from the chemistry kit.
In fact, I classified the fragrance as an adult brother of D&G Velvet Exotic Leather rather than a barbershop fragrance.
A really successful surprise and in any case a test recommendation for fans of the fragrances mentioned and the amber-coloured spirits.
