Java Daba Duuuuu!
A typical Pierre Bourdon in a slightly slimmed-down version is what we have in front of us in "Un Air de Java" by Decleor (a cosmetics brand that doesn't mean anything to me). And since no brave soul has yet expressed himself about him, I do so now. Thanks to the perfumer who sent me the sample, it's quite an unknown and rarity that you have to sacrifice first.
"Un Air de Java" is an all-rounder in front of the gentleman, a light, round chypre with a fruity head and more under the hood than you might think. I like it very much, no question. You just feel immediately that it fits, that it is well made, that it has independence and character. Oddschoolig, but with floral-modern masculinity. Mossy, worthy of signature, sociable, very nice to wear. No banger, no ripper, no braggart - rather the opposite of all that. Likeable and pleasing. A good mood maker in a suit, a motivational coach without airs and graces. Especially the way the tart currant runs into a mossy green backbone is criminally smooth.
Flacon: some testers and prototype bottles are prettier...
Sillage: despite depth quite breathy, airy. But in no case transparent.
Durability: usually he gave the last signs of life after 5-6 hours
Conclusion: an almost sweet-flowery chypre with typical Bourdon DNA and not even an insider tip - because unfortunately nobody knows it. Should actually change... But it doesn't seem to exist anywhere anymore either. So I'm telling you about ghosts... Beautiful ghosts :)
