In the forest of the undead
I ran as fast as I could. Again and again I looked around anxiously. The leaves rustled under my feet. My quick steps stirred up the damp earth. I didn't even notice the beautiful mushrooms and the moss-covered dead trees along the way. For I had to escape! Otherwise I would pay for my curiosity with my life.
I always laughed at the name "Forest of the Undead" for this grove. For I thought the legend that zombies wreaked havoc here was nonsense. It was said that dozens of people had already fallen victim to the zombies in the forest and disappeared. Of course, I didn't believe that either. And so, on a night of drinking, I bet my friends that I could cross the forest without any problems.
But now I was no longer laughing. I had been wrong. The undead had tracked me down and were after me. I ran for my life. But suddenly I stumbled. Looking to the ground, I gazed into the empty eye sockets of a human skull. Then my eyes went black.
"Sir, can you hear me?"
I opened my eyes and looked around in amazement. Apparently, I was still alive. And instead of being in the forest of the undead, I was now apparently in the emergency room of a hospital. A young doctor looked down at me and smiled.
"I'm sure you're wondering what happened. Well, you were found unconscious on the edge of the woods. You suffered poisoning from putrid gases found in the forest, and apparently hallucinated before passing out."
Exhausted, I closed my eyes. Hallucinations. So I was right! There are no zombies at all. The legend had a serious background, though. The people who disappeared really existed. Apparently, they weren't as lucky as I was and fell victim to the foul gases in the forest.
So, despite everything, I had only just escaped. I clenched my fist triumphantly around a piece of cloth I had been holding unnoticed the whole time. Then I fell asleep reassured.

Sorry, this is where my passion for writing scary stories got away with me. But now to the scent.
"Zombie for Him" is my third blind buy from Demeter. And I have to say, it's the best one so far. However, I would have given the fragrance a different name.
Because "Zombie for Him" does not evoke associations of zombies at all. Rather, it is a fantastic and very authentic forest floor fragrance. Initially, the mushrooms dominate, before the other notes, especially leaves and earth, come along. I would put him with it in relation to animal scents.
The all-important question is now of course: is this wearable at all? In my opinion, yes, absolutely! It is relatively close to the skin. So the sillage is not so powerful that you think in 10 meters radius, here was a forest rat run away. On the other hand, this scent evokes very nice associations of walking in the woods for me. I find him soothing and relaxing.
And who this is too much forest, the fragrance can perhaps use for layering. Combined with a slightly sweeter fragrance, it may be more portable for everyone.
