Citrus peel essence for layering
You can get fed up with the fragrance, unfortunately. In the first few days thrilled the fresh citrus top note, which smells longest and "cleanest" on the clothes. But as has been said elsewhere the heart note as X-factor or bright chamber tone, I have become increasingly sensitive to this and now perceive it from the beginning. I would describe it as a somewhat aged but still strong orange peel that lasts extremely long, flooding a room atmosphere with lightness, and has a certain plastic or bicycle tube note that is even more prominent and distracting on the skin than on clothes. Other notes (moss, pepper, vetiver) are completely absent for me. However, and this advantage I would like to strongly emphasize, you can give other fragrances, whose citrus top note makes a too early departure, the necessary Hesperidenkick with this Wässerchen.
Compared to the other Eau Sauvages, the cologne with its dried orange peel takes a middle position for me. While the Eau de Parfum comes along very coarse resinous by Elemi and is centrally determined by this resin (not nice for my nose), so the classic Eau Sauvage EDT after a wonderful bergamot opening in the middle is very floral oriented. You can tell that these unusual feminine synth florals are missing their counterpart: the classic, now forbidden oakmoss. Since I still have some older oakmoss extract, I'll start a layering attempt with it and I think it should turn out well.
