BUCK, BUCK, BUCK, I say!
It's a mystery to me why Dior's Escales are often so neglected on the shelves that they are pushed to the side, or why a dusty and unnoticed existence ekes out on the bottom shelf. I like them all, each in his own way. Unfortunately, they share a frustrating characteristic: they don't stay with me for that long, but are rather light-hearted and light-hearted journeymen who let the wind carry them away quickly. Apparently nomen omen is and the fragrance makes only a stopover with me. But I can enjoy this short visit with all my heart, because it is not one-dimensional and flat, but proves complexity and takes some surprising turns. At the beginning: Citrus summer water, beautiful lemon bergamot mixture - not tangy-dull but tangy-creamy. You can also clearly sniff out mint. So far so good: lemon, bitter orange, bergamot and mint: this is a proven recipe for summer. But wait, what is that? Definitely CIMB and vanilla! Yeah, but hello, why is that all of a sudden? Christmas carols in high summer???? After recovering from my first shock, my nose literally starts to smile. What a cheerful, unpretentious, pert scent! In addition, delicate woods mix and "Escale a Parati" manages to be cool and warm, lively and sensual, sizzling and creamy at the same time.
And there he is, the rascal: Right on my wish list for next summer!
PS had to bring the fragrance purchase forward because I learned today at Dior Counter that the fragrance was being discontinued. What a shame!
