On the paper strip simply only a dream.... On my skin the biggest disaster:(
Since I love the original Hypnotik Poison I also wanted to have a closer look at this version of it from the Poison series. Before I test a fragrance, I always check here on Parfumo how the fragrance affects others, you can also say like with the original HP either you love it or you hate it. And I am unfortunately not yet exactly sure whether I love it as much as the original.... Since I'm disappointed...:(

The bottle is there not much more different than the other Poison Flanker, beautiful and feminine is the defying;) In the beginning I tested it on a paper strip, (I don't know the paper strip the same as my skin chemistry is but I always do that at the beginning). On the paper strip the scent was beautiful and at the same time very interesting. The DNA of the original HP can be clearly smelled with this scent, but also only at the beginning. In the Herz+ Bassis note it became more and more interesting and sweeter:) One smelled quite clearly the liquorice note because whole smell process, vanilla was also very present and loud in the smell process. Jasmine made the fragrance much rounder and softer and gave it something that I had never really stalked before*-* in a fragrance process. Tonka bean made the fragrance itself creamier and more seductive. I wish that the scent on my skin would have been the same as on the paper strip...:( On my skin it smelled very badly artificial and after this children knead Playdoh. I almost wanted to scream out of desperation! I mean how can it be that the scent gradient on the paper strip soooo much better and more great smelled and on my skin after a children kneading well... Too bad because I found really great and beautiful:( Then I prefer to console myself with the original one that makes me at least happy:-D

Merci Monsieur Demachy
Dear Francois,

today you receive a love letter from Germany. From the East and from an area where most French people have not yet been.
Don't worry, my letter is purely platonic and I have no intention of throwing myself at you or any other part of your body. It also took me quite a while to figure out that you are the nose behind Hypnotik Poison. At first I was skeptical, because there are quite a few flankers of the 1985 Urpoison by my colleagues Jean Guichard and Edouard Fléchier. I'm not that much of a flanker. But here, oh yes, a discovery and what's the saying? Better late than never. I could easily throw myself into a purple negligee. But who would see that? So here I sit in hand-knitted socks and an alpaca wool sweater.
Liquorice is supposed to be in here? I thought the same thing for a while: No!
Floral absolutes, and of the kind I like. Orange blossom and jasmine went into the still. Somewhere I also read something about May bells and yes, with a lot of imagination I can also think them in. And then comes the licorice note. Well, liquorice is made from a root extract of liquorice. And it not only smells sweet, but also woody.
I liked liquorice even as a child. But that was almost 60 years ago. You may know my grandma (1914-2007). She hated liquorice and convinced me that it was made from bug blood and would attract mosquitoes. You can shape a child that way, but it didn't work for me. Mosquitoes? I wouldn't wear this full-bodied oriental in summer. Unless we get -5° C in July.
Besides, a mosquito is only human and in summer I usually wear chypres. The mosquitoes freeze to death before they bite.
You and I owe the fact that you are receiving this love letter to a dear perfume friend who discovered this fragrance with her nose.
I had actually resolved not to buy any more fragrances. But what are resolutions for? To overturn them. Dear Francois, this Poison ends up on my wish list and I give it 10 points each as an all-round score. How's the weather in France? With best regards
Your M.

Short Liaison
I came out of the department store and had once again tested a number of fragrances. I sniffed at my wrist and was immediately blown away. A unique, licorice, slightly smoky dream of scent. Unfortunately, I did not know what I had tested anymore. So just one thing, go back to the store and go through all the scents I had tested before. Retrieved and bought immediately. For a few months I loved him. But I still rarely wore it because I think it is only suitable for special occasions. My boyfriend said that every time I wore it, I would smell like incense. Eventually I too only smelled incense sticks and he had to pull. I still like him. Maybe one day I'll let him move back in

Sensual seduction
For a long time I only had this fragrance on my radar in the more common version Hypnotic Poison Eau de Toilette, as this was my absolute signature fragrance for a long time (for about 15 years), all other Poison fragrances were completely uninteresting to me.
During a stroll through a perfume drugstore, I felt like trying them all.
The first spray is very similar to Hypnotic Poison Eau de Toilette, but only for 2-3 seconds, then the full power of this fragrance comes through.
I smell cherries and marzipan (probably licorice and tonka) and a powdery heavy sweetness that I was craving without knowing it. Orange blossom is one of my favorite essences in perfumes (after vanilla, of course) and it rounds things out considerably, giving the scent a floral lightness without which one would otherwise be suffocated by the concentrated power of this perfume.
In the drydown, a tiny tart bitterness is added, just a hint of it, which for me gives the fragrance a certain kick, something wicked, something forbidden, something poisonous.
I was probably too young in my mid-20s for this very grown-up fragrance, which exudes self-confidence and life experience. Now that I'm 40, I can say that there is a new Dior love in my life and I'm very happy about it.

I would love the scent but it's just too much of heavy suffocating cloud. One spray on the wrist stays printed on clothes for ages.

Like a forbidden fruit, this scent is a very sexy and longlasting elixir where the licorice touch makes the difference.

Best of the Poison flankers. Bold and assured in its notes. Begins heavy and quickly levels out to an ornate pastiche of dense notes.
