The most stunning hyper realistic rose
Eau Rose EDP is a stunning, realistic, unisex rose perfume. It’s rich without being overbearing, it’s rosey without “smelling like a grandma” (I hate that analogy that accompanies floral perfumes), and it’s natural without being off putting. The artichoke gives the scent an earthy, thickness that makes the roses feel like they’re 3D. And the touch of chamomile adds a herbal, tea-like touch to the over scent profile.
This is perfect for anyone that wants a true rose scent, without any other complicated accords attached to the rose. As a rose lover, I really do love and enjoy this perfume. However, I don’t feel like “fits me” if that makes any sense. This is a rose for a minimalist, or an academic. It’s a very textbook rose, which is fine, but it won’t suit someone that likes more daring rose fragrances, sweet roses, chypres, etc. I’m a daring rose kind of girl, and so while Eau Rose EDP is beautiful, it’s not for me.
The performance on this is moderate, sillage and longevity wise. For an EDP, it’s not as strong as I imagined it would be (especially since I have other Diptyque EDPs that are real performers). All in all, I think the scent is worth a try but this perfume has shown me that even if you love a note in a scent, scents with that note will not necessarily resonate with you, even if they’re done in the most breathtakingly beautiful way.
Edit - 12/12/2023: I decluttered my bottle earlier this year and just got it back. It’s TOO beautiful not to have! I got a limited edition bottle and it’s strong af!!! Idk why the other bottle I had was so quiet, but this one is NOT! Love love love!
