Dolce Passion Fruit
Another fresh, shampoo-ish fruity floral for warm days. To me this is actually mainly a passion fruit and citrus scent, lily is only a very light background note. I even get more rose than lily! The base is somewhat creamy with clean musk, light vanilla and a hint of lily, but the sweet and sour fruit notes dominate the scent.
For some reason D&G's naming concept for the Dolce line is really random: Dolce Garden smells like a nutty, creamy dessert. Dolce Peony has more plum than peony. And here we have a passion fruit scent called Dolce Lily. It makes no sense and is disappointing when you love lily (like I do).
I appreciate that this has some clear, detectable notes and doesn't smell like a random floral mish-mash. It has average performance for a summer freshie and doesn't change much on my skin. I wouldn't buy it, as there are so many better fruity florals out there, but I find it likeable and not overly generic, at least not in a bad way.
