Fantastic blend of tobacco, blackberry, and plenty more
Prestige Noir is one of my all-time favorites from Dua, an original creation limited edition from late 2017 / early 2018 that’s a superb blend of tobacco and blackberry primarily, with additional notes of honey, cherry, juniper, cloves, cypress, and balsam, among others. It’s sweet, woody, tart, resinous, complex creation, something that could be worn every day or for special occasions, just as much a special unisex date scent as it is a plausible men’s signature sent, very intriguing, in that respect. Most of all, despite the tobacco and blackberry being the standout notes, Prestige Noir is not overwhelmingly in any one aspect; it really feels like a symphony of many styles.
Like most Duas, it performs very well and was very reasonably priced at the time (around or under $2/ml), and it’s dark and dense enough that I probably wouldn’t wear in the heat of a summer day, instead preferring to wear it in cooler or milder weather, or at night. It feels very dressed-up but familiar, as well, something I didn’t know I wanted or needed but nonetheless fit the bill perfectly, with a borderline déjà vu.
The most comparable fragrance that comes to mind (based on the tobacco/blackberry prominence) is Gallagher Fragrances O’Fraiche but the two are fairly different, still, albeit both excellent.
I’m delighted to have some of this juice even if it was a very limited 40-bottle run.
