My favorite from the Green Tea line
Let me preface this by telling you I'm not an Arden Green Tea girl. I respect it as a drugstore classic and a pioneer of the tea fragrance genre, but in the end, it's too harsh and cold for my preferences. In my opinion, it smells more like a tea-scented, floral shower gel than a real cup of tea. Still, I'm kind of drawn to the concept of it, so I tried several Green Tea flankers over the years. I had high hopes for Nectarine Blossom, as I love fruity, peachy scents.
This is definitely more to my taste than most other Green Teas. It's rounder and a little sweeter, so it feels less scratchy to me. Still a tad sharp though. The nectarine note is crisp and fresh, it feels like a slightly underripe nectarine that is still a little too hard to eat. It's not cloying at all, very appropriate to use as a body splash in the hottest days of summer (some which are ironically right now, in September, where I live). Due to the tea note, the scent also reminds me of a peach-flavored ice tea, but a low sugar, white peach, green tea one instead of the classic, ultra-sweet Lipton Ice. There is a clean, floral undertone to this, too, and some pleasant white musk in the base, but I think it smells more realistic and "drinkable" than the original.
Like everything from this line, it's a light, fleeting scent that is meant to be sprayed with abandon.
A nice summer freshie that I don't really see me wearing, but recommend to anyone looking for a freshie with a fruity touch that isn't overtly sweet.
