Fruit tea?
Hello dear snoopers and welcome to a new fragrance commentary. Today we have a rather loose scent again, namely Green Tea Pomegranate from the Green Tea series by Elizabeth Arden. A fragrance series that might be worth a look if you like green tea scents, although the tea scent is not always very noticeable on some of the flankers.

Anyway, I like to test the green tea scents, because I don't have to tell you how much I like tea anymore. Well, the green tea is not one of my favourites and after drinking it I sometimes have the feeling that it would scratch my throat a bit, but nevertheless tea itself is simply something great, even in fragrances, because they also smell very pleasant to me.

Now comes the flanker with the pomegranate flavour, which sounds great, because pomegranates are one of the most delicious fruits of all, but unfortunately they are very annoyingly difficult to peel and cut, so that you would like to hit them with a hammer, which by the way is absolutely NOT recommendable (especially in a brightly furnished apartment...), unless you have the whole room covered with masking film... :D

Anyway, I am curious about this flanker, even if it should be the 100th flanker by now!

The smell:
The fragrance begins with a beautiful, slightly powdery and above all fruity sweetness. One quickly smells maracujas or a passion fruit. Here, the green tea is relatively weak or is covered by the passion fruit, but somehow it does not smell like green tea but simply tea in general, so one already notices that there is tea in it, but one cannot exactly determine it. With the pomegranate giving the name to the tea I am a little bit unsure, because as I said, the passionfruit radiates quite strongly and therefore covers all other fragrances, but this is not bad, because it smells nice.
A little later I smell the tea a little better, which now smells like a mix of fruit tea and black tea. Apart from that I still smell a lot of passion fruit and berries, now some pomegranate after all and general clean notes. These clean, powdery scents could come from the violets.
And that's it, because green tea fragrances are never particularly complex. But they do smell pretty nice, like this one.

The Sillage and the durability:
The sillage is rather moderate, but everyone who knows green tea scents knows anyway that these scents are not strong scents. So you will only be able to smell the scents very close by, and not necessarily for long. The shelf life is also below average with about four hours.

The bottle! The shape of the bottle is still the same, i.e. tall and rectangular and slightly rounded/oval. It has a pink hue and you can see beautifully drawn leaves and pomegranates printed on the bottle. The lid is pink. A beautiful bottle.

Conclusion:
As almost expected, this green tea is also very nice and even one of my favourites among all the flankers, because it smells pleasantly nice, the teen note is later on very smelly and it doesn't have a stuffy annoying side note like some of the more flowery flankers.

The fruity sweetness is also beautifully feminine and pleasant (and yes, even delicious :D) and because of its loose vibrancy, the fragrance is especially good to wear in spring and summer, preferably during the day, as it is not very durable for going out, as beautiful as it is, and does not radiate much.

Somehow the scent also has something relaxing about it. For example, as if you had done some gardening in summer and then sat back and enjoyed a warm cup of tea (yes, you can drink tea even on hot days, but then not quite so hot tea, otherwise you sweat a lot, but warm tea works great... tea always works :D). And then you let your eyes wander over the garden, are proud to have plucked out all the weeds in a tiny corner and postpone the rest until next week due to laziness, which of course is postponed until autumn. But then you have the advantage of having an overgrown garden for Halloween... uh, I digress again :D

Anyway, the scent is highly recommendable for all green tea fans, but one should just not expect so much from the pomegranates, as I had the feeling that one could smell a little more passion fruit, well, at least with me it was.

There it goes again. Well, thanks for reading and see you next time :)

Love on the first Riecher
Family Green Tea got a new addition and since I like the Green Tea series, and the fragrance was also on offer, there was no way around it. I was even so courageous and made a blind purchase, because a tester did not stand yet beside it and the " nice " service refused also to strive for a tester. Wasn't there and done. Three deep breaths and into the car.

At home then the big surprise. Are we going to be friends or not? The beginning immediately appealed to me. Fresh and fruity without the otherwise often used pappige sweetness. All in all very balanced. It's a little citric, too. But with citric scents I experienced my surprises last year, because I don't want a walking dishwasher bottle. Next mixed magnolia and violet leaf with but without dominating. In the finish then musk, moss and mate. With the beginning a round thing. Balanced and harmonious. Fresh, flowery, fruity, but still a little bitter. There is no other way to describe the fragrance in more detail. Now I'm curious to see what summer will be like. But with this new Green Tea fragrance he can also come hot.

Shelf life just loose 3-4 hours, which is for me for a Green Tea fragrance full .ok

Great summertime!
Since this fragrance was on offer at Rossmann and 100 ml was available for a lousy 10 Euro, I simply had to get it from the good reviews here. And I wouldn't be disappointed. Green Tea Pomegranate starts fresh and fruity. The pomegranate dominates, a little tea resonates and makes the scent sweet-tart. Then passion fruit is added and makes the fragrance even more carefree. Something floral is light in the background. It is rounded off beautifully liquid by musk. I think this fragrance is very good. He radiates serenity and lightheartedness and exudes Lolita charm. In the cabriolet, race down the sunlit avenue and enjoy the wind. That's what Green Tea Pomegranate smells like to me. The shelf life of about 4 hours is mediocre and since the Sillage is quite weak, it can be applied very generously like a bodysplash, which has a very refreshing effect. I'm glad I got him!

Woe Betide Anyone Who Dislikes Coffee
Coffee provides a complex blend of different flavours, producing a range of sensory experiences. The sensory profile of a cup of coffee varies according to several factors, including the type and blend of coffee beans, geographical origin, roasting method, and preparation method. The variation of these aspects will impact the overall sensory experience obtained from a cup of coffee both during the preparation and consumption of the coffee. Sensory experts describe specific aroma and flavour profiles to differentiate between different types of coffee and roasts. Aroma and taste are the overriding factors that determine coffee preference. Coffee aroma descriptors include floral, nutty, smoky, and herbal, while taste descriptors include bitterness, sweetness, saltiness, and sourness. The level of roasting affects the flavour profiles. Research has suggested that lighter roasts retain herb and fruit notes, while smoky and burnt flavours are increased and acidity reduced in darker roasts. A smooth, creamy, frothy coffee in perfume form, one whiff of this caffeine-enriched scent will make you think you just walked into Starbucks. And this is precisely where I wanted to take you. Hang in there for the next few minutes, and let me briefly explain why I introduced you to the coffee aroma.

The opening is a blend of tropical, citrus and fruity notes, with a subtle toasty bitterness in the background, topped with a splash of golden passion fruit and a hint of green bergamot. Although the fragrance takes its name from the scarlet red fruit full of grains, the pomegranate, this very particular note is overshadowed by other tropical fruity notes, that of passion fruit and maracuja above all. The presence of the Tangelo is not suffocating, and I recognize it because it is also used in other fragrances that I love, Artisan Eau de Toilette and Artisan Acqua by Varvatos and CK In2U for Him Eau de Toilette. When you see a tangelo, you assume it is like an orange; they have the same colour and outside appearance. You will quickly discover this fruit is different; the smell of a Tangelo has a light floral scent. Added a pinch of greenish notes offered by the bergamot leaves to all this concoction. This ingredient is quite unusual, and we usually find petitgrain as an oil extracted from citrus leaves, branches and unripe bitter orange fruit. Crazy some will think I'm crazy to smell this rich, dark, toasty, almost burnt undertone of the coffee beans. I'm crazy, crazy to feel so unique. Not surprisingly, the nose behind this jewel is Rodrigo-Flores Rou, creator of the Varvatos, as mentioned earlier, and nearly all the other flanker fragrances.

Slowly all the fruity and syrupy sweetness of the opening subsides, giving way to a fresher, herbaceous, greenish, dewy heart. Tropical fruits have been placed in the back rows, their applause muffled, while coffee beans and a quick splash of tea leaves now sit in the front row. The latter looks like black tea to my nose; I don't associate it with the crunchy scent of Earl Grey. Instead, the coffee's toasted and slightly burnt aroma remains to balance the other sweet and flowery notes that would otherwise be a bit cloying. It is a sweet and sour floral coffee with smokiness and plenty of depth from the dense foliage of Havana and violet. It took a while for the fruitiness and sweetness to settle and flatten out, which allowed the roasted coffee to emerge with more earthiness.

The smoke is thinner now, and the exoticism has vastly diminished. The dry down becomes a bit mossy and earthy, with a hint of floral still present, courtesy of the raspberry bloom, which adds a tart pink undertone. Pomegranate Green Tea becomes muskier over time, eating away most of the remaining coffee notes, leaving a mix of soft herbs, fruit, and musk.

Being a fresh EDT, it doesn't have strong drips, which is noticeable for the first few hours of use. Also, the longevity could be better; half a day and then I have to reapply. As a fruity floral and musky cologne, it is fresh by design and perfectly suited to warm seasons. It is a day and evening fragrance for the spring and summer months. A fragrance for leisure time, a relaxing weekend and harmless for work. Unlike other reviews, I don't find anything in common with the original Green Tea Eau Parfumée, which I see as fresher and more like natural green tea. And woe to anyone who doesn't love coffee!

I'm basing my feelings on a bottle I've owned since June 2023 (BC Y22228C, PD 2022-02-28).
