S like...????
Have a nice evening, everybody! :)

Today I come to a fragrance that simply has the short name "S", and therefore doesn't even appear here immediately as a search result if you simply enter "S" in the perfume search bar. Luckily I had the brand name on it, but I had already had samples in my hands, which had been labeled by geniuses, and where important things like EDT or EDP or even the brand name had been left out and where you just couldn't find the right scent :DD

Anyway, the "S" here stands for Schiaparelli, since the scent of Elsa Schiaparelli is Schiaparelli and this was her very first scent. It is a brand that doesn't really tell me anything and I only know this brand because I had already described a scent of it here before (Shocking). But it's no wonder that I don't know the fragrance brand, after all nothing new came since 1997. The fashion house Schiaparelli, where actually everything started, was revived only recently, but... I've never heard anything about it and I don't know anything about it... yes yes, I'm a philistine... :D

Well, let's see how the first scent of Schiaparelli smells here. Or I smell and write, and you read :D

The fragrance:
The fragrance begins with floral notes. One smells slightly watery and thus at first still light flowery notes like the indicated hyacinths. With the lilies I am a little more uncertain, because I do not know their smell as exactly as those of the hyacinths.
Also, it seems that there are more scents in here than were listed here in the scent list. Cause there's a little sweetie who makes you think of jasmine first. As the sweetness becomes slightly more powdery, you think of violets. Later, however, the sweetish note smells more like amber and stays that way, so I'd start from the amber. I also smell a slightly heavier flowery note that reminds me of ylang-ylang. In addition, there are other floral notes, which have a light green and slightly bitter scent and are thus reminiscent, for example, of general plant juices.
Of course you have to concentrate for most fragrances, because they only radiate weakly, because you mainly smell the hyacinths and the amber-like fragrance.
At the very end most of the fragrances are gone again, which means that the fragrance no longer has amber-like sweetness and it no longer smells of green bitter plant juices. Instead, the fragrance somehow returns to the beginning and for the most part only smells of loose plants, especially watery hyacinths.

The Sillage and the shelf life:
Although a small fragrance cloud rises when the fragrance is applied, it soon disappears again, so that the general sillage is rather weak.
The durability is however quite okay and lasts on the arm already at least eight hours.

The bottle:
The bottle has the shape of a female torso and is very reminiscent of Gaultier's bottles. But there were also other flacons, like a round one with a big "S" on the front (which should make me think of Superman as a freak... :D), which you can see in the photo gallery below. I like the torso shape more (but not because you could touch him so beautifully, tsss... what do you think of me again?! :D).

So... "S" is a flowery scent that's okay, but nothing world-shaking. Well, the fragrance came out in 1928, I don't know how the fragrance looked like back then, but today you've seen such a fragrance a dozen times under your nose, so it just comes across nice, but also a little bit 0815. This doesn't mean that you should ignore it or that the scent would be worse, no... the scent smells nice, you just can't expect the scent to trigger a "wow" effect on you.

If it still exists or if you should get hold of it, you can't really do anything wrong with it, if you want to have a somewhat simple and loose, summery scent with little sillage for the day, otherwise it's only worth it for collectors who want to collect scents or flacons from different times, especially since there should be enough similarly scented alternatives, so that you won't miss anything if you can't test it here.

So for today I'm coming to the end again,... and hey, I managed to finish a commi without mentioning Star Wars, video games, Indiana Jones or comics and... oh damn... I mentioned Superman... such a shit!!

Hey hey, then have a nice evening and see you soon :)
