It's great, but you passed out after a year?
Last year in summer I bought a bottle of Escentric 04 and found it to be a great summer scent! It is super-citric, a bit bitter, but at the same time wonderfully fluffy and light, with a woody base. In the course of time it becomes softer and lasts for a citric fragrance super long
This summer I sprayed the scent on again and found it somehow funny right away. Hmm, did I really like it that much last year? Somehow there was a musty note from the beginning, hard to describe, somehow "grandma's handbag". In the further course, but unfortunately only over several hours, the impression increasingly settled and in the drydown the smell was then again completely the old one.
So I dug out my old Escentric Discovery set from the bottom drawer and tested both versions against each other in the left and right crook of my arm. In fact - the scent from the test tube smelled as light and fresh as I remembered it, but the scent from my bottle always smelled musty even after further tests.
I know this effect from 10 (or more) year old vintage perfumes, but after only one season - I've never experienced anything like it. I'd be interested to know if someone else has also observed this phenomenon.
