Retro-futuristic clean skin
I love the 1995 anime of Ghost in the Shell (never watched any other versions). It's an absolute classic.
This perfume doesn't catch the gritty atmosphere of the film, but it's nevertheless interesting and maybe even a bit cyborg-like.
The opening is very fresh and soapy with a burst of bitter, zesty yuzu. It really has a new plastic note, but underneath it is a warm jasmine and something else that gives it a skin-like feel. The bitterness of the first blast calms down quickly, so the plastic feeling isn't as aggressive anymore. It smells like a soft plastic doll that was washed with a very astringent citrus soap. And why shouldn't a cyborg's skin smell similar to that of a doll?
The texture of the scent is a bit milky, which makes sense as ELDO lists a "milky skin accord" on their official site (it's called "sensual skin accord" on Parfumo as I'm posting this). It's not a realistic milk note though.
This is a very clean, intentionally synthetic scent. I find it more feminine than masculine. I don't think this is the future of perfume like the marketing says, to me it feels more 90s retro-futuristic, which ties it to the anime again.
As I'm not a fan of in-your-face clean scents, this is not for me, but I found it interesting to sample and like it for what it is.
