Lord of Patch
Lord of the Chic was a real surprise for me. I didn't expect to get a patchouli scent, judging by its name. All the more I like how beautifully earthy, with this certain, subliminal sweetness, the fragrance remains focused on the patch theme.
Despite its earthiness, the Patchouli is very elegant and clean. It's unbelievably noble. I have only experienced something similar with Cuir Tabac by David Jourquin. There are also nuances of rose and benzoin. However, they really play their supporting roles all the time and don't push into the foreground.
After hours, and in the drydown, the patch slowly recedes and makes room for some musk and vanilla. In the same way, the fragrance remains warm and unadorned, keeping its state of mind.
