The next good one from the kipper zone....
The brand Aigner I got to know the other day - even before the lockdown - at my regular drugstore, when I was namely again on a journey of discovery through the so-called. Bückwaren fragrances have been going. I was not aware that it was an American house. Intuitively, I had but first thought of Switzerland, sounded or sounds the name for me at least (for whatever reason) after the beautiful Switzerland ...
Anyway. Really solid and for little money very neat fragrances can be found under the brand in any case. The No.1 series bspw. I find very successful; all astreine, clean and pleasant treasures without big ballyhoo and other unnecessary fuss. Fresh, smooth, woolly and slightly synthetic they smell. By the way, synthetic must not always be negative connotations, because mMn there are also quite friendly synthetic, which just comes with me and also yes generally the masses often well.

This Etienne Aigner No. 2 I gave my brother for Christmas, together with the shower gel and aftershave. Although he is otherwise not too big perfume freak like his younger brother, he can still call 3(!) fragrances his own (He thinks I'm totally stupid anyway, that I am registered here and own more than 3 fragrances. And I just grin when he talks to me about it and think to myself "well, if you knew what's going on here..." XD).
Well, and since he's very skeptical of other directions besides fresh-clean, I thought he might like this. Ahead: the fragrance he likes very much.
When I have been over the Christmas days to visit him, he had the EdT on it. And it smells or smelled at him wonderfully beautiful. I myself tested him of course before on me also, but I have decided only now to write a comment.

The Etienne No. 2 is of the basic character of an aromatic and spicy-fresh clean scent, which I think would like in particular people, the so-called. Barbershop fragrances are inclined.
Right at the beginning you experience this pleasant citrus-fresh tone, which is underpinned with neat intense and spicy-peppery nutmeg. You have to be a lover of this note and I could imagine that one or the other this would be too strong, but I personally find the beginning very masculine and attractive. In addition, I perceive a hint of herbaceous lavender, but this really only rather discreetly in the background.
A short time later, the fragrance is soapy and even slightly powdery for my sensation. The pepper from the beginning steps back and leaves the soap so to speak the stage. One smells virtually as just showered and freshly shaved. This also remains in principle until the base, except for a minimal woody undertone, which I perceive in addition yet, so exist.

Due to the character and composition, this fragrance definitely has the aura of a signature candidate, I think. Personally, I would probably prefer to wear it in spring or autumn in everyday life or at work. Think especially to these seasons and occasions he can exploit its full potential and shine there so right.
For a fresh fragrance he also persuades in terms of endurance. On my skin I perceive him good 6-7h and especially in the first 2h he shows neat muckis, before he withdraws gentlemanlike little by little.
Conclusion:
I am yesterday then again to my brother and have me a 5ml-TZ of his fragrance bottled, which I also just wear at home. I like him so much that he has sooner or later (latest in the spring) very good chances to move in with me as a bottle. Because for the little money you get a mMn qualitatively pretty good fragrance that goes in one of my preferred directions.
For fans of clean-soapy and peppery men's fragrances, this classic is at least worth a test. Probably many already know him from their fathers, uncles or grandfathers, if they have not worn it then already themselves. For me, however, he is a new discovery and as a classic fan - almost logically - of course a great fragrance.
And certainly this one has also already fallen victim to one or the other reformulation, which I can not judge, however, because I discovered him only recently.
Refos or not - as a whole, I like it very much. And that's what counts.
