Seldom I was able to smell in a perfume so clearly the particular scent of tonka bean than in "Note de Luxe". But at first I was smelling a more resinous-bergamotte note together with a slight soapy flower-mixture and vanilla. I was considering it not very overwhelming facing the price of "Note de Luxe". But slowly the scent of the natural tonka bean with the typically bitter-almond note was taking over the leading position of "Note de Luxe". And in this way "Note de Luxe" was fragranting for many hours. Maybe the other ingredients are supporting the tonka bean. But I dare say untill now "Note de Luxe" is THAT true tonka bean perfume I ever smelled.
