Interesting Facts
The creative mind behind the Italian fashion label is Elio Fiorucci, born in 1935. During his teenage years, he helped out in his father's shoe shop in Milan, then had the idea of creating bright colored galoshes at the age of 27. These shoes eventually generated big buzz in the fashion scene and contributed to the worldwide launch of the brand.

During a visit to London's Carnaby Street in 1965, he was thrilled by the fashion of the Swinging Sixteens and wanted to bring it to his hometown. This led to the first store opening in Milan, which sold fashion (T-shirts, miniskirts, jeans, lifestyle), music, and even books. The trendy store became so famous that it was called "Daytime Studio 54" (in reference to the New York discotheque).

In his creations, Elio Fiorucci was always inspired by underground trends. He brought Brazilian thongs, leopard and camouflage patterns, and Afghan coats to Milan. In addition, the label "Fiorucci" is considered the inventor of designer jeans.

After the bankruptcy in 1989, the remains of "Fiorucci" went to the retail chain "Knickerbox". Through an online store, renowned designers, a new store in Soho, and an improved image, "Fiorucci" was able to resume its operations.

Due to its proximity to numerous VIPs (Cher, Lauren Bacall, Klaus Nomi, Terry Jones, Jackie Onassis, etc.), the brand is associated with A-list celebrities and influencers. The stores appear in music videos, pop songs, and movies, and "Fiorucci" occasionally appeared as a sponsor (Simon & Garfunkel 1981, Madonna 1982).
