I love Kumquats!
Do you know them, too? They actually look like oranges, but they are just as big as a fingertip and a little egg-shaped. And you always eat them with their shells, anything else would be stupid, because they are actually only made of shells. Totally tasty pithy bite clean and beautifully distort the face of the bitter acidity. Also very decadent: Freeze the things and use them as luxury ice cubes.
So I had expected such a bitter acid cool citrus scent here, just the right thing for the hot (and currently sultry) Berlin July. And once again remained astonished, because the name leads astray, perhaps with a wink of the eye and intention. When I look at the fragrance pyramid here, I would draw a thick line from rosemary in the top note to matcha tea (green tea powder) in the heart note to wood in the base note. This is the backbone of the fragrance: A herby-earthy-teay-woody thing, flanked by little citrus and little flowering.
Although there is also a "pour homme" variant (poorly rated by Parfumo), a fragrance (also according to my wife) absolutely suitable for men. Not decidedly summery, I imagine it particularly beautiful in autumn - or also in the other transitional season, spring. Highly original and very likeable; for all those who are not afraid of bitter notes.
