Hello and good day.
This is my first review here and I hope I can adequately convey my sentiments.
I first encountered Vetiver by Fragonard in Grasse. Looking for a straight and cold scent, my search ended here for now. It's true what some here say about this fragrance; vetiver for people who don't like vetiver. But. I have since tried a few other fragrances with this base in them, including Creed, Guerlain, Etro, Dior, Prada as well as Adolfo Dominguez. All great stuff, but only Fragonard is really vetiver. It's neither overbearing nor too subtle, neither soapy (I've had it too, smelled like feet!) nor too grassy. Although it arrives as an EdT, the scent still lingers for up to six hours. The sillage is subtle, but definitely noticeable as vetiver. It has something of freshly mown meadow in noble. Who is looking for something like that, is really well served here. The simple Sprüflakon is not sealed, but can be unscrewed and refilled, especially since Fragonard offers this fragrance line refill in the 1000ml aluminum bottle. I find good. The price-performance ratio is good and reasonable with € 33.00 / 100ml. The refiller costs about € 75.00.
The fragrance develops very well after half an hour to a full hour, becomes a little softer, rounder, without losing its astringency. After eight hours is hardly noticeable on the skin. Unlike on the clothes. There it lasts up to two days. Vetiver is a fragrance that polarizes; either you like it, or you don't. As a conclusion, it is (for my nose) the most honest and authentic representative in the vetiver league.
