Yellow Polka Dot Lemon with a Rose Petal Pencil
Oddly enough, the Atlas cedar and Mysore sandalwood hit me first today with Inis Arose. Then, the Sicilian lemons top note in this actually made my mouth water. This scent is bright and cheerful another Spring and Summer Winner, IMO. It is so natural and juicy it gives me a visceral feeling of hunger/thirst. Luckily, before I had to interrupt what I doing to go make some fresh lemonade, this fragrance morphed into a very woodsy rose scent. This scent has a dry pencil shaving phase, which dries down to a fresh crisp watery floral akin to Creed's "Love in White" and similar to the transition between citrus to wood in Penhaligon's "Blenheim Bouquet" for awhile, before it heads into a kind of Watery-wood with commonalities to Moschino's "I Love Love". The sillage is moderate(about 6 inch radius (~15 cm radius)after the first hour. Inis Arose settles down into a final swansong of fresh rose petals and woody cedar and sandalwood, loosing its perky itsy-bitsy-tiny-weenie-yellow-polka-dot-lemon-zest bikini top completely. Very naughty, indeed! Leaving a subtle rose nested in a light clean musk and ready for a little black evening dress and a lovely romantic dinner night out on the town.
