Interesting Facts

The sophisticated label "Fueguia 1833" was created in 2010 under the direction of Julian Bedel, an Argentinean perfumer, botanist, sculptor, and violin maker.

The founder is strongly committed to sustainability. His creations include a desire to transform artistic works (music, poems, paintings, etc.) into fragrances, using natural and entirely biodegradable ingredients from Argentina as sources of inspiration. Therefore, Bedel researched volatility, molecular weight, and flash point of fragrances, followed by the creation of his fragrance label. The name "Fueguia 1833" refers to a girl from Tierra del Fuego who was kidnapped in the 19th century and disowned upon her return.

The brand's fragrances are a blend of unconventional South American aromas from the in-house farm "Fueguia Botany" and rigorous scientific research. In addition to the main raw materials such as citrus, iris, acacia, and marcela, medicinal plants were produced there until 2015. In the same year, the entire company with laboratories, farms and production moved to Milan, where it was possible to produce sustainable small furniture and packaging.

The bottles all have a simple square shape without optical gimmicks and flourishes, which can further enhance people's appreciation of each perfume. In harmony with the company's philosophy, they contain fragrances such as "Alhambra," "Basilicum'' or "Humboldt." The overview of the more than 100 fragrances is provided by the website of "Fueguia 1833".
