Thus Spoke Zarathustra - or an alchemical masterpiece?
Who doesn't know it, the "Sunrise" from the symphonic poem (Op. 30) by Richard Strauss and the commercials which, among other things, has brought undoubted fame to a German beer brand? I don't know what actually triggered the thought connection to Didier Gaglewski's "Lettre de Noblesse". Was it the slender shape of the bottle, the color of the label and the packaging, which should always convey something about its contents? Or was it the name the master chose for his noble fragrance creation? Somehow one suspects something that has sprung from the workshop of an alchemical scientist, who, in search of the modern philosopher's stone, has finally succeeded in producing from the elements of fire, earth, water, air, the oh-so-coveted gold, which endows the society-oriented man with dignity, wealth and recognition.
Lettre de Noblesse (meaning "letter of nobility") is for the mature man who is distinguished by experience and has the ability to make decisions of consequence. Since he is in the middle of life and comes into contact with all the world, the liveliness that this Eau de Parfum conveys is for him consciously initiated program. A typically masculine-fresh tremolo with mandarin and bergamot is followed by the recurring warm, leathery motif of the "woodwinds" oud and ambergris, while the strings of cistus and oakmoss go about their work in the background. Right from "Von den Freuden und Leidenschaften", the great theme in C minor, this fragrance plays with precisely this contrast between sweet and sensual. In the end, the circle closes, just as in the brand logo, like an ouroboros, to a coherent whole.
Regardless of whether it is an actual "nobleman" who is willing to be measured against the code of honor of European nobility in the 21st. Century is to be measured willingly, or whether the wearer of this noble Odeurs would like to feel by the purchase of the precious liquid in the higher state of the letter nobility transferred, or whether one simply pleases this composition of fragrant "gold", with "Lettre de Noblesse" is the exceptional perfumer from the southern French fragrance metropolis Grasse again a craft coherent masterpiece succeeded, which is worth its price all the time.
Épilogue d'ingrédients: Alcohol, Parfum (Fragrance), Aqua (Water), Citral, Citronellol, Coumarin, Eugenol, Farnesol, Geraniol, Isoeugenol, d-Limonene, Linalool, Evernia Prunastria Extract.
