Elysium
The manly fragrance of patchouli, rose, and musk
Is there anything more vigorous than this underrated scent? Oh man, I've been receiving tons of compliments all the times I have worn it.
While waiting for a site update, here are the alleged fragrance notes:
- top notes: bergamot, lime fruit, foliage, mint, sage;
- middle notes: iris, violet, ginger, pepper;
- base notes: amber, musk, cedarwood, guaiac wood, patchouli, sandalwood.
My nose says the fragrance is woody, aromatic, fougère, a bit balsamic, and powdery. This one reminds me of a tempting smell of floor wax, which I like, of course. If you are anything like me, you're intrigued by all of the quirky good-smelling things.
I can smell citrus mingled with an aromatic accord at the beginning, but none of the middle notes (at least, iris and violet are not so prominent or overstepping). And all over the fantastic manly combination of patchouli, rose accord (I guess it is the guaiac wood or rosewood), and musk, animal strong musk. I bought it blindly cause I was fascinated by the notes, and I fell in love with it at the first spray.
In my opinion, I did not find a similar perfume so far. Do you know anything that is closely akin to this? I like the final masculine smoky, ambery, animal mix of virility. This scent will turn all your senses on.
Last but not least, sillage is above the average, though people near you can smell it without being annoyed and longevity is outstanding, I still smell it after 10 hours. Let me say GM Man's is a high-quality fragrance, a niche one. Perhaps, it was meant to be a night out perfume. However, I wore it at the office and got many compliments. I regularly wear it during cold months; winter is the season that makes it shine.
