If You Love Durian Fruit...
This is hands down one of the most fruit forward and diva-worthy fragrances I have ever encountered. I found this totally unsuitable for any environment where their will be human life within 20-30 feet of you for more than 2 minutes. It is a combination of stewed fruits, such as prunes, candied mandarin rind, persimmons and caramel with a poorly executed jasmine tuberose rose trio laid on a cloying shrill cumulus cloud of sandalwood and something...Je ne c'est quoi...perhaps that is a synthetic Narcissus here that I do not appreciate. Hearing that this is one of Barbara Streisand's signature scents, I am not really shocked at all. The volume on this one is operatic and the stage presence is epic. If you really want to "Win friends and influence people" as Dale Carnegie suggest...this is the antithesis of what you'd reach for. But, if you've got a stalker following you and can't seem to repel them- give this a shot. This is a big spoiled fruit compote to my nose, with a harsh eye-burning jet fuel residue trail...it ended up as a deodorizer for my trash bin. It falls into the general category of things like Givenchy's "Ysatis" that turn my stomach. Sorry, if this is you soul scent paramour- disregard my humble opinion, but I believe honesty is the best policy on this one. Do not blind buy this one, please, dear friends, I implore you!
