Can anything be prettier than this?
I can honestly state that I love Gandini RED ROSE AND PEACH BLOSSOM. It's flowery and fresh, fruity but not sweet. The rose petals and peach blossoms are readily identifiable. Osmanthus is present here too, but I am never really able to identify that strangely fruity-floral flower. In any case, the important point is that this is definitely *not* one of those ghastly "abstract" floral scents which makes you wonder if you ever really knew what flowers smelled like. Every time I wear this "cologne" I wonder why no one has ever heard of it. No, it's not profound, but can anything be prettier than this? I ask most sincerely.
ROSA ROSSA E FIORI DI PESCO has the longevity and sillage of an eau de toilette, and the quality of an excellent niche creation. There is no gambling involved in donning this juice: whenever I put it on, I smell lovely. This is probably my favorite of the Gandini cologne collection and, yes, it is rather feminine, so I would not recommend it to gents. But that's okay, since they have some excellent masculine alternatives in the 1896 collection of colognes. Lords and Ladies alike: if you have had it with vat-produced abstract juice, you should give the creations of this house a sniff.
I'm beginning to sound like a shill, but I am convinced that Gandini is one of the best-kept secrets around. This obscure Italian house is producing fine fragrances at reasonable prices and staying loyal to the tradition of classical perfume-making. Bravo Gandini!
