what a divine drop
There are so many dull days this spring, when the need to pamper yourself is very great. Of course, in order not to roll through the area completely out of shape and wardrobe at the end of this phase, the appropriate fragrances from our stocks offer themselves.
However, I must admit that the temptation to reach into the boxes of chocolates or pastries, but very large. Man needs sweets!
So the other day, proud of my resilience, I fished "Dahlia Divin La Nectar de Parfum" by Givenchy out of the sample basket.
It sounds so pleasantly nourishing and warming.
Immediately after the first encounter I stumbled: this fragrance signature I know yet!
But clearly: François Demachy is the creator of this fragrance goddess and how often had I met this Provençale in recent weeks during my journey of discovery through the fragrance world of the Maison Christian Dior.
So it was no wonder at all that a déjà vu occurred, to which the multi-page interview in the FAZ also contributes.
Also here for the house Givenchy he remains true to himself:
He draws fragrance images, which are underlaid with tones and sounds, remain long in memory and so very deeply memorable.
It is worthwhile to devote time to this fragrance picture gallery for discoveries and to enjoy its most diverse paintings.
"Dahlia Divin La Nectar de Parfum" is a creation for goddesses.
And quite a few perfumers consider women to be goddesses.
Golden yellow nectar is contained in this striking flacon; each droplet a fragrant luminous jewel.
So I feel reminded of a hummingbird sipping on these scented gems and not wanting to part with them at all.
I could drown in the tart-sweet aroma of the mimosa; I could give myself over to it completely and know: this is "everlasting Love".
So, of course, the prelude of this fragrance of the gods is already for me the entrance to paradise: how intensely and aromatically fragrant I am received!
Jasmine sambac and beautiful ripe fragrance roses weave with these mimosa scented wreaths, with which they adorn me, before wrapping me in delicate flowing white-gold veils.
I feel protectively taken in the arm and led further into this fragrance paradise.
For a great sensual and warm aroma abundance is still waiting for me:
The goddess Aphrodite brings not only creamy white, languidly flowing vanilla; she also has - as a concession to the zeitgeist - tonka beans as additional sweetness and a good dose of musk in the luggage. All this is generously doled out.
This cozy cover she spreads over me and my floral wreaths, thereby deepening the feeling of well-being.
Before this sweet layer but yet a little crushes me, adds a wise woman vetiver and sandalwood.
She knows: What is too much, is too much! To the sweetness also belongs a counterpart, otherwise the whole creation becomes boring.
And a few dark aroma dabs in the creamy white shell do not hurt at all.
Boring is "Dahlia Divin La Nectar de Parfum" not at all.
On the contrary, the fragrance is reminiscent of a balanced composition that carries away with generous sound waves in security and beauty; without great tempo changes, just calm and soothing floating into the infinity of the universe.
Longevity is average, with the mimosas eventually giving way to the sensual softness of the scent, leaving only white warming sweetness interspersed with some darker streaks.
A cozy, fluffy cloak remains and reminds of the visit of charming goddesses - or was it rather fairies?
A potion of the gods became an impressive fragrance fairy tale here, for which Aphrodite and her sisters were the godfathers.
The divas greet from the fragrance Olympus!
