Casual synthetic berry aquatic...
This could be a product from Paco Rabanne. The most fitting situation I could picture would be a beach night club in the summertime. A mess of too many notes, which actually makes it too complex for me somehow. To describe it is hard, the closest I can say is a sweet, peachy, berry, fruit cocktail with watermelon, a little tobacco and floral notes. It smells very chemical and slightly oily with a touch of salty melon. I dunno.. a fruity floral with sweet freshness? - I'm talking saccharine and lots of calone.

BTW, it actually somehow reminds me of Creeds Millesime Imperial without the ambergris, so if you're a fan of that, this is a much cheaper alternative.

Typical 90s fresh fragrance
After the Givenchy Insense Ultramarine had spent a long time on my wish list, I have indulged myself this year. Actually, the old releases aren't really mine. But the fresh scents from the 90s have their charm and come across very likeable. Like CK Escape, which came out a year before. This Givenchy is almost 25 years old. Although I don't like this oldschool factor because of its nature, there are some. But they shouldn't be too old-fashioned, because I'm absolutely no vintage fan.
Givenchy is a brand I appreciate. I don't find some releases so exciting, but qualitatively they are almost all in a good condition.

The bottle is also very 90's, but like it. Very simple with beautiful lid and azure blue content. The colour of the fragrance is quite suitable, as it is a fresh aquatic.
The scent doesn't start to my liking at all. Aggressive and something stinging and disturbing is in the top note, which fortunately subsides after a few minutes. All in all it is for me a fragrance that changes little and is difficult to classify according to head-heart basis. Also, one should not stick too much to the pyramid. Some notes from it are well perceptible, some however not at all. Melon and currant are present, as well as a very pleasant aquatic background, which is very maritime. Sage is also present and offers pleasant freshness. Otherwise, there are also subtle spicy and fresh citric notes, but they are not too strong. All in all very balanced and of many facets a bit. Besides, it's pretty masculine for me, too.
Smells too close, it's not so pleasant. It scores rather on a certain distance and lies pleasantly in the air. He's got this typical '90s fresh charm. Absolutely suitable for everyday use, sports and leisure. In addition, despite its freshness for me a year-round fragrance, which also comes well when it is not so warm.
The performance is quite good for a fresh fragrance. Not bombastic, but satisfactory especially in leisure time. The Sillage is medium, not quite good, but nevertheless perceptible at close range. If you can spray a little bit more.

Overall a great balanced fragrance that accompanies pleasantly in simple situations in life.

Nix Marine
...after a few hours there's only one marina left.

The prelude still lets a captain shine; for an admiral the UM is much too youthful and easy - there is missing experience and sea freshness. The lightly marine (aquatic) evaporates more and more. In the end, it's only enough to be a light sailor. And this is not freshly shaved; there is simply no hair growing on the face.

Unfortunately, there's nothing from "ULTRA".

For Ultra, it would also have to be more ultra-ordinary... Ultra in comparison is for example Algemarin (yes the shower gel). That would then get the addition Seebär.

The smell isn't bad, but it's not ultra. The name was a very big handle next to it. The old Insense UM I loved; had at that time only one specimen; unfortunately. Insense UM stood out in the time of the Joop-Hypes (somewhere in 1993 or so).

And the Insense without UM was one of the new hammer fragrances in the 90s anyway

Old school berry aquatic, imo outdated, moderate performance, azzaro chrome is much better, and cheaper .
