Impressive amount of fragrance notes and yet no wow
The list of fragrance notes alone is impressive and is worthy of the Roja Dove limited edition. There is a similar male version, both bottles are almost identical, one with rose and one with silver lettering. To say it up front, True Story and I don't go together. Fragrance family amber / floral / oriental released in 2016.
What starts with neroli, citrus fruits and mint quickly turns into cotton candy. Not burnt candy floss like Baccarat Rouge, but the innocent candy floss from the funfair. Sweet, sticky, synthetic. Clearly a women's fragrance and clearly a winter fragrance. Here, too, you can see that a lot doesn't help a lot. A very synthetic fragrance that reminds me of cheap deodorant sprays from my youth.
White Heaven Beach is a similar fragrance from the brand, without the gourmand note. A spring version of True Story, so to speak. Both fragrances were designed in France, the bottle itself comes from Venice. They clearly didn't want to design a discount fragrance, which you have to give Glamfume credit for.
Chocolate and patchouli in the drydown. A conglomeration of flowers and sugared fruit. Then I smell spices and floral notes in the background. The fragrance then becomes sweetly heavy again, with candied almonds joining in.
Glamfume doesn't seem to grow any further, but exists on a low flame.
For those who are not yet familiar with the brand: Parfümerie Akzente, which owns the online store Parfumdreams as well as the bricks-and-mortar stores, founded its own brand - Glamfume. The fragrance might appeal to those who like oriental scents and don't place great value on durability.
