Summer, sun, raspberry drinks
I am very picky when it comes to fruity perfumes.
I just don't like them at all most of the time.
I sprayed this one, smelled it and had to have it IMMEDIATELY, right then and there.
Here it is, my new summer fragrance.
Fruity-sweet on the nose, raspberry in its finest form, very authentic, never synthetic, without a mousse or hairspray vibe. Bright, very bright, with pear (rather subliminal) and mandarin. Fruity and sweet, but also fresh. Very soft. Everything screams nice weather, sun, flowers, blue sky.
In the drydown, the fragrance really picks up speed for me because it doesn't just remain fruity-sweet, but becomes creamy. The coconut adds an extra dose of summer feeling without turning it into one of those sun cream fragrances. Jasmine and ginger add that summery, slightly sour, tangy touch that doesn't really suit me. Here I love it to bits in the overall picture.
As soon as the fragrance has really settled, cashmere wood and sandalwood caress my nose. Quietly, but I can no longer keep my nose away from my arm.
It is so special, yet a simple concept, fruity-sweet, fresh, summery and yet, for me, it is unlike any other.
Not one that gets too thick for me in summer. One that always makes you feel fresh and cared for. Soft. Above all, very, very feminine. I think the cashmere wood in particular made me love the fragrance so much.
Until recently, I always missed THE ONE summer fragrance when I looked at my collection. Those days are over - here it is.

Pure vacation feeling
This fragrance is vacation feeling immediately and now. It starts fresh, fruity, a little sweet but by no means headache sweet but pleasantly sweet ... the way it smells on vacation in summer ... fruity, floral with a warmth that melts away. Dull weather disappears the moment you smell it. The name could not have been more apt. Sunset Hour is exactly the image that this fragrance triggers in the mind. It lasts well on me, is not too overpowering but still present, I smell it all day long. It's not a typical summer fragrance, you can wear it all year round.
I love it

Nice multifaceted blend, fresh sweet fruity resinous woody floral
Goldfield & Banks Sunset Hour is a fresh, fruity, ambery mix featuring mandarin, raspberry, sandalwood, benzoin, ginger, and jasmine, a medley that is pleasant, uplifting, hearty, unisex, and fairly opulent-smelling. It fits in nicely among the house’s collection of natural, fresh compositions that have broad appeal and utility, in my opinion, and while I’d argue that this and some of the others are not too unique, it’s nonetheless an easygoing escape to the outdoors, perhaps tropical, while in an office cubicle. Not among my very favorites of the line so far but still quite nice.

Sunset Hour is part of the main collection, currently priced at $190/130/36 for 100/50/10ml, quite reasonable in the current market in my opinion, sold in US boutiques like Perfumology, and with very good performance.

Summer
I have a love hate relationship with Goldfield & Banks. The description of the perfumes make me very interested in this brand. Only the perfumes of this brand often remind me of other perfumes. On a whim, I bought this perfume blindly. Was even a little nervous about trying the perfume. But the nerves were for nothing. The first burst is an explosion of sweet fruit. In a few minutes the perfume suddenly becomes very powdery (reminds me of Cockatiel by Zoologist), only to change into a clear fruity peach yoghurt after a few minutes. These three phases follow each other very quickly and then quickly move on to the fourth and final phase; fruity and floral (jasmine). The jasmine is strong and dominant and the fruity yoghurt note balances it out. Daydreaming reminds me of Super Mario's Peach sitting on the beach with colorful parakeets flying around her, enjoying the setting sun and drinking from a coconut. I know, my imagination is big. But what makes this perfume in combination with this daydream me happy.

Synthetic peach with sweet floral
I got my hands on a Goldfield & Banks discovery kit and I promptly took out the papers and started ranking these gorgeous fragrances. On paper Sunset Hour ranked in my top 2!

On my skin, I will say this reads a bit more fruity-synthetic than I would like. It opens with a strong Peachy smell. It's not bad though! It's a note that I don't typically see in perfumes, so for that reason, it feels fresh and original.

The dry-down gets very floral and a bit powdery. I am realizing that G&B as a house is brilliant at balancing unique floral aromas into familiar yet distinct perfumes.

Overall, this is a very Summery, feminine, sensual and fun fragrance.

Creamy and sweet but not at all cloying. Marshmallowy with a soft floral element. Very soft and sensual gourmand.

It's rare to see perfumes where its name is also its manual. The opening: fruity, sunny. The drydown: woody, serious. Perfect for sunset.

An amazing lovely fruity scent for in the warmer weather. Absolutely love it, wish it lasted a little bit longer (but it is for the summer)
