To be fair, after my statement I have to mention that "L'Heure de Nuit" becomes a flattering powdery fragrance with a delicate sweetness after about 70 - 80 minutes. Anise then flashes through only now and then.
And anise seems to be what makes me LHN to start and also for quite a while the fragrance so strange, almost unpleasant. At the same time I like anise actually - in sweet stuff. I'm thinking of the salmilollis I used to love so much, which always had a distinct aniseed taste, or aniseed in cakes. The ouzo served at the Greek's after a rich meal always tasted good to me, too. In the smell therefore I will avoid anise in the future.
To LHN back: What comes after the anise is nice and well portable for me, but more also not.
