An airy little dress
I've appreciated Guerlain since I was a teenager in the nineties. All I'm saying is Samsara, Champs-Elysees, Shalimar...
With the "La petit robe noire" series, Guerlain has dedicated itself to a younger clientele, which is understandable in order to keep the brand alive. Which eighteen-year-old is already wearing Mitsouko or Nahema? Here on Parfumo there may already be a few young ladies but for the majority at this age it must be fruity-sweet or fruity-fresh.
Since I am an open and curious person and besides the fragrances also collect the beautiful flacons had to be a fragrance of this young series ago. I bought myself a 30ml residual bottle, a good 1/3 full. That was certainly one and a half years ago and in the meantime I have often worn the "little black one" in my work. The scent, not the dress.
This fragrance is the eau de toilette version of the much heavier EdP. Right at the beginning, it shows a cheerful, light scent character, which remains in the overall course of the fragrance. The rose does not show itself with me, but there I am used to other calibers. I smell a combination of apple and not too sweet cherry, which makes the fragrance appear somehow tangy/peppery. Jasmine remains only discreetly in the background, thank God! Otherwise the scent would probably be too pompous for me. The base also appears only very discreet with clean musk. Patchouli and Amber are only allowed to piss up very gently. With me it stays fresh and sparkling in the whole fragrance, it doesn't get creamy with me.
So all in all a fresh-fruity fragrance, very suitable for everyday use. I've even gotten only positive reactions to this scent. The EdT from La petit robe noir is a good fragrance, ideal for young girls (of course also for older girls, if you like it). What I like is that it's not too sweet and too jasmine-heavy/random and yet has a good sillage with medium shelf life. I don't have to say that he can't compete with the old classics and masterpieces. But for a young clientele a good fragrance and who knows, perhaps an entry into the world of Guerlain fragrances as it was for me then Samsara.
