Death by apple? (News in Snow White case...)
I have to come down slowly - from my pro-Guerlain attitude. There are other excellent manufacturers of fragrances! But just lately Guerlain has been producing so many bangers, it doesn't stop there. The post-LVMH lull is probably finally over now and the intention to take over the perfume world domination isn't that far-fetched. The opening of numerous pure Guerlain boutiques is in the works, and events for this year's 190th anniversary are already in the gun barrel. This will be a year! Happy.
Oh, yes, there's a new météorites scent. There were already two of them, whereby one was a room fragrance and only available as a luxury gift, and the other one has been off the market for a long time. The latter, a "mass market" - but limited - fragrance came out around the year 2000 and, like the room fragrance Guerlain's Megaseller face powder (pearls or pressed) of the same name, was to be perfumed, which was also fabulously successful.
So now a new edition was announced. But... howwhat? - with apple flavour! Apple in scent is one of my fear enemies! Apple! Acidic, acetonic to pungent, artificial, Schauma shampoo from the 70s, Appelkorn, everything bah.
I hardly dared... but the bottle! So pretty! Like the girls' version of Terracotta Le Parfum. Pink, pastel with satin label. Ok, eyes closed and through...
The first second is freshly powdered, not yet exactly crumbled up. Then the poisoned apple rolls up Stop, it's not poisoned. It's not artificial either. A little appley pink lady sweetness, that's all, bedded on rice powder, dry and beautiful. Very skiny, though. If you wanted more of this rice powder note, you'd have to go for Traversée du Bosphore.
The fragrance also remains skin-tight and unobtrusive in its further development: the apple is completely gone after 1 hour at the latest, then it is only summer powdery, like terracotta, the cosmetics line.
All in all a very nice scent, which smells of vacation, sun and care. The only drawback: Too weak for me. But maybe I'm a little nose blind at the moment, because of too many quite rude guerlains lately

Tender embrace
"Météorites Le Parfum" is a gentle fragrance that embraces me tenderly and discreetly. It is floral, powdery with an idea of soap. I don't remember the top notes at all, apparently they fizzled out in the heat of the last few days. Slowly MLP changes from floral powdery to soft woody powdery. I imagine I also detect a very slight tart note. Whether that is then, nevertheless, a reference to the top notes or belongs to the woody notes (I perceive more often times sour notes with wood), I can not decide.

The shelf life of MLP is fine with 5 - 6 hours. However, I have to with the nose to just above the sprayed skin. The sillage is correspondingly low. This in turn means that MLP is wearable at any time and also fits all seasons.

No "Must Have" but definitely a "Don't forget me".

Powdery standard porridge
Whoo, whoo, everybody! :)
Today I present the new Guerlain fragrance from this year (2018). Well, one of the new fragrances from the year 2018 better said, because just from Guerlain, a bigger manufacturer, several fragrances come out in the year. Which I think is a good thing. So I have more scents that I can present here... yes yes, to your sorrow, because I write so much and so... argh, be quiet and just read instead of complaining, he he :D

This is a flanker or a further version of the Météorites published 18 years ago. Apparently this fragrance doesn't go down so well here, if you look at the average ratings. The scent from the year 2000 was also not so well received... Hmm, whether this scent here really is not so great, will show up, even if it will be of course only my opinion and everyone should test a scent best of all himself.

Provided I get the sample open... the scent is in such a small tube of glass, which is closed with such a tight lid, that you think the tube has an anti-theft device or something... I break a nail off here, and break the tube on top of that... yeah, as you can see one more time, I'm suffering here just to write a commi for you, and what's the thanks? *sigh* If I were vain and arrogant, I'd say you didn't deserve me here :DD

The fragrance:
I smell apples at first. Then the roses are added quickly, so that the fragrance in the top note smells fruity and floral. But shortly afterwards it becomes much more powdery-sweeter, because you can smell the violets quite well, or because the violets become more and more intense.
I think that soon the fruity notes will take a back seat. At the sprayed place you can sniff out an apple from time to time, but in the actually scented cloud you can smell almost only sweet scents like violets, but also musk, which will probably be even more intense in the base, because it seems to become stronger and stronger with me.
In the base, the fragrance seems to have a light, sultry floral note, with a slightly synthetic aftertaste. And exactly that would be my biggest criticism for this fragrance here, apart from the fact that it otherwise smells quite trivial, but isn't really that bad. And yes, also in the later basis the smell smells of musk and further after a slightly sultry flowery and somewhat synthetic smell.

The Sillage and the shelf life:
The Sillage is mediocre and becomes even a little weaker after a short time. Here one would have to spray oneself more with the scent, but even then I think that the scent is probably only best smellable from close up. The shelf life is okay, the fragrance lasts about ten hours, but half the time it is only quite weak, so sillage-like.

The bottle:
The bottle is round or a vertical disc and has in the middle a likewise round and nicely made label in pastel colours (I think the label was made of fabric instead of paper, but can't remember me right now, is too long ago that I had the bottle once in my hand). The slightly inflated lid is white and fits the rest. The whole thing may not be spectacular, but I think it's beautiful.

Soo...
Oh, did you know that the Météorites are not just fragrances, but have their origins in Guerlain's make-up range in the form of powder pearls? ... Well, you are women, at least most of the readers of this Kommi here, that is, of course you knew that, ... hmpf, whoever asks stupidly. I just had to look it up... and then I could look up what Clair, Medium and Doré mean with the available powder beads. Clair of course came out "clear", so I thought they were colour gradations, clear, medium and dark... but doré means golden! Bah, it's complicated the whole thing :DD
And then there are also a lot of versions of this Météorites Make Up... for example light-reflecting,... so you... uh, you can't see one anymore because the light is thrown back? Camouflage caps make-up so to speak..., yes yes, so that women can go out among themselves without being annoyed to be haggled :DD
I know I'm babbling crap here and I know I have no idea about some things, but stop laughing anyway, aaargh!

Anyway, as far as the scent here is concerned, it's just as okay for me. He's not running away now, of course, but he's not exactly the man to run away with. I use the negative sounding word "Einheitsbrei", that's how it smells and doesn't represent anything special. The synthetic note at the end disturbs me a bit, but there is much worse!

You can have a look at it, because it doesn't just smell powdery, but also has a little fruity touch, and therefore maybe offers a little bit of variety, but otherwise it's just okay. But: For a Guerlain fragrance I find it still quite disappointing, because Guerlain's other main streamers like Mon Guerlain or the Petite Robe Noir fragrances and the like smell much nicer and better.

Can be used as an all-rounder, possibly more suitable for warmer days, it can be used as a daily fragrance. But he's too unspectacular to go out. You can test this Guerlain, but you won't miss a thing if you don't.

Well, that's it. I wish you a nice evening :)

Everything done right
We're in the experimental lab. The task is to create a completely new type of fragrance that contains the best of the past and at the same time serves what the discerning perfume lover wants, but cannot yet express. There is an infinite number of attempts. Guerlinade with contemporary molecules added, Guerlinade aquatic, Guerlinade only from extremely natural ingredients and and and. Everything is discarded. Until, yes, until one comes to the rapidly intelligent thought of forming the guerlinade into something that is actually no longer a liquid, but powder, perfume in powder form, ingenious. It is no longer sprayed, but powdered. A subtle freshness (apple?) and a hint of rose are then added to the whole thing, and the best thing is: you keep it very close to your body so that the scent, which sometimes reaches your nose or that of other people in small incalculable powder clouds, does not wear off under any circumstances. Here we are dealing with one of the most modern Guerlains ever. Already made for the next generation. Clean without any artificiality, subtle, there without sillage, but nevertheless present, fragrant without ever even a hint of sweetness. For the better marketing one tells the old-fashioned story with the make-up pearl powder. You couldn't do better! Golden times are dawning!

The apple, the worm, the writer and this delicate fragrance
According to Ephraim Kishon, the apple is to blame for everything. He himself had been able to ask about this case with the worm that had lived in the worm.
Pretty heavy accusation the worm's making, don't you think?
And what does the worm have to report?
Eve, the poorest, had bitten into the witness's dwelling due to a short phase of mental derangement and missed him by a hair's breadth. It is not enough that the dwelling is now uninhabitable, because the serious offence of vandalism is accompanied by the offence of inciting a crime. Namely the one that the golden-haired Eva, with flashing Dentagard teeth, beckons her only true beloved to her and hands him the apple. Adam, who is also not blessed with knowledge, rubs the sucked apple and also bites it clean.....
CHACK!!! And then they were naked. What a shame to stand naked before all the onlookers without shame. (Just think of the poor homeless worm. Or the many animals that also had to witness this representation Tststs)

And what does that have to do with the perfume now?
ALSO:
Right at the beginning you can perceive the juicy sweet scent of a fresh fruit (I wouldn't have thought of an apple, but thanks to Ephraim Kishon... )
In addition, there are still slight citric fumes in the background. (Fresh fruits grow in the Parafies, no frozen goods)
Almost as fast as the fragrances appear, they disappear again, but then this wonderfully warm spicy vanilla fragrance appears and skilfully powders my wrist. What's that? There's no vanilla? No! Still there.
And now the powder is getting really baby-scented. Extremely well done. In addition the breath of makeup and I float on a cheerful fragrance cloud through the room. (No wonder Eva bites this apple. I would have done that too)

It only lasts 4 hours, but I love to spray it on again.
It's neither uniform nor terribly synthetic. My skin finds the scent good.
Of course, this fragrance is delicate and almost ethereal, but let's be honest. Not every scent has to kill the other or?
Or do you think the snake would have tried to taste Eve's apple at last -herrjeh and to hell also- until she bites it intimidated and frightened? I don't think so!
It's more the quiet whispers that are the danger than the loud words. Because at some point you think it's your own ideas that are there.
And that's the scent. A whisper, a little quiet temptation. The second skin.

Conclusion:
Had it not been for the apple, there wouldn't have been the fall of man and therefore no perfume and no perfume for us anyway.
This fragrance skillfully turns powder and makeup into an experience. A fragrance for ethereal well-being and quiet connoisseurs.
