But that took a while

But it took a while... until Eau de Coton really showed itself to me.

No sooner had I written my statement, submitted my review, etc., than I had a creamy, orange-infused fragrance in my nose. I could have sworn it was grinning at me. And a few hours later, I had a subtle but spicy woody note on my skin.

To summarize, "Eau de Coton" is now for me a creamy fragrance that starts with fresh orange and ends with a spicy woody note. The cream is overlaid by the orange note for as long as it lasts.

The sillage is medium, and the lasting power is medium to long when I run my nose directly over the sprayed skin.

Drawback: the orange cleaner note already mentioned in the statement remains in the top note for around half an hour.

Almond cream to fall in love beautiful!

Admittedly, I expected something different. Bright bottles always awaken in me the association with freshness & lightness. Eau de Coton - I imagine a fresh fabric softener & cotton scent. In fact, the scent is anything but light & fresh, it's a real gourmand. This is unexpected.

I have to process the first impression first and bother me first at the small sprayer on the wrist. Where is my Perwoll April freshness? In the afternoon, I give the little water a new chance. Freshly showered lands another sprayer in the crook of the arm.

You get pretty much what is described in fragrance notes here. First, a freshly cut juicy orange that quickly becomes a creamy sweet almond cream. The orange-almond-musk cream combines to a beautiful feel-good scent that melts into my skin, really beautiful to dream! I do not even know how to happen to me, I am in love.

I was previously always the attitude, I do not like sweet. That's me too schmalzig, pfui bäh. The associations I have with sweet, but probably more from my teenage years, fully befogged locker rooms in which young girls eindieseln with vanilla cherry deodorant and carry the heavy sweetness all day with them.

Only late I realized that it can be done differently. Sweet and gourmant can also be noble and valuable, Guerlain is the best example of this. Enthusiastic and in love, I wear my Eau de Coton the next day to work - may no one condemn me for the fluffy musk-almond cloud that I carry with me all day.
Dear thanks to Hannah for the bottling! A bottle is of course long on the way.

Orange Tree Dream

Eau Secrète is the rebirth of Eau de Bain, which I already quite liked, not only because of the purple color of the contents. The secret water has only been carefully reformulated to be bottled in the higher priced new refillable flacon. It's just a shame about the purple colour, but the more playful EdB flacon has now become a more stylish "flacon-barre" look, so purple is probably inappropriate. The interplay of initially very green orange, fluffy almond and cuddly musk has remained playful though. Fortunately: I wouldn't have it any other way!
After the natural-green-fruity start, the indulgent aroma kicks in and the scent becomes creamier, almost marshmallow-fluffy. The almond is deliciously delicate sweetness and gives a gourmand touch.
With a lot of goodwill, you can read white chocolate into it, so creamy and cuddly the fragrance develops on my skin. Clearly created to do something good for yourself, for the battered little soul. So - just right to get a little distance from our hard, cruel world and feel like in a beautiful dream. Not great cinema, but do you always have to have that?
