The end of the world
Sometimes the penny falls on me a little later. Haas has dedicated most of his fragrances to the Schlossgarten Schwetzingen or was inspired by the Schlossgarten. The Schlossgarten is really the best in Schwetzingen. In said garden there is a perspective. An installation from the 18th century which creates the illusion of a wide view into a (painted) landscape near Heidelberg. This perspective is called "The End of the World". In French, it's La Fin du Monde.
Haas sold his perfumeries. However, the Haas fragrances will continue to be offered under new management. Since you're not allowed to get samples anymore, one of the employees advised me to always go in when I was just passing by and let me spray for decision support. I did today. I felt a little bit stupid, because after spraying I always smell at the sprayed place and become completely nose. That must look stupid, the salesgirl looked at me strangely and probably thought: "and when is she leaving now? So I can keep drinking coffee."
I went after the top note, which this time seemed surprisingly harsh. That must have been the bitter almond. Then the rose blossomed quite strongly and was accompanied by the heliotrope. I found that quite pleasant. When I came home by bike after a short distance, family tester Q stood in the kitchen and I immediately held my sprayed wrist under her nose. She said, "I don't like it, it smells like coming into the Douglas." She must have seen me think it was a pretty devastating sentence. Haas didn't reinvent perfume either. Rose+Heliotrop smells good, but not innovative, probably not noble and expensive, but a bit like mainstream.
In the base, the rose becomes weaker and the scent more gourmand. The projection goes back a little. The scent lasts for about seven hours.
The perfume is more suitable for women. You can try it out if you are in Schwetzingen anyway, e.g. to visit the castle garden. Haas No.3 probably leaves at any time of the year and certainly does not disturb at work. I don't think I'm gonna buy it. But I would like to have some Haas and will be sprayed again soon.
