'Streaming educates' ...!?
By chance I came across the series 'Halston' on Netflix. Since I was neither the designer nor the label familiar, and I then saw that H. also created perfume, I had to research first. You can't leave such an 'education gap' in the room! So first I went to the net, then to Parfumo. The fragrance pyramid spoke to me immediately, everything in it, which I like so, and the good fragrance descriptions were clear: I must own this fragrance!!! Blind purchase!
Now I have it!!! I like it a lot!!! It's soft, gentle, subtle, yet very present and long lasting. The berries in the opening don't really reach me, the rose in the heart I sense, the tuberose as well, but the melting together with the dominant amber, incense, sandalwood etc. results in a great scent composition in my eyes/for my nose, which in my opinion is also wearable all year round.
I am happy about this purchase. How probably the original has smelled?

Halston Amber, a little history... Maybe just a little obscure?
My mother always told me to avoid obscure situations
.
Well, too late.
...........
I met one recently
ONLINE..
It turned out to be half a blind date, because he hadn't told me much about himself online. Only a photo I could see.
Well, at least..

Anyway, he then stood a few days ago, in front of my door.

Luck had, the photo of him was real.

He looked good, slim, but had a little belly.

But I find that quite sympathetic.
I asked him into my apartment and he greeted me friendly.
With him he had a shopping bag.
When putting this down, a golden bottle fell out of it.
I took it in my hand, it was bulbous and smooth.
He said that he had just bought the perfume.
Actually a ladies fragrance, but men can also wear.

I pulled the cap and smelled the spray head, wow was that a nice scent.
Creamy - spicy was what I was smelling.

I placed the bottle on my table.
Then I turned back to my guest.
He was just emptying out the rest of his shopping bag.
He actually wanted to bring me red currants and tangerines, but because he got hungry on the way, he ate them. Instead, he brought me amber roses. They smelled wonderful.

He went right on with the story, I didn't have to ask anything.

On his way to see me, he had passed a dark street corner, there was a small shop there.
"Incense & Resins" was written on the outside.
There he found the amber roses for me.
He laughed and told me that behind the counter was a lady with wild black hair and a portly figure.
Her cleavage was expansive and compressed by a very tight suede dress.

When she asked him in her raspy voice what she could help him with, he said he already knew what he was looking for.
It was dark in the shop, he added, and it smelled of incense and sandalwood.
In the little light and trying to reach over a display to the roses, he knocked over the whole display, he continued.
Vials of resins and spices were broken in the process.
He laughed again and pointed to the roses.
He grabbed those quickly and was out of the store like greased lightning, he boasted cockily.

I thought I had misheard and asked if he had at least paid something.
Nah, why? was anyway only such a "smoking stuff" he replied.
Attractive or not, I took him by the shoulders and pushed him out the door.
There I pressed his bag into his hand and said goodbye.

What a guy, he was no good for me.

But his perfume Halston Amber, I kept that....
A beautiful, smoky-resinous, slightly creamy fragrance.
And yes the goes for men too ;)....

Comforter
It's already quite late and I should go to sleep better, so this commi will be quite short. I had read the reviews, the scents and then discovered the scent on Ebay for 16 something for 100 ml. What else was there to think about? I love the Orientals and I wear them even in midsummer..... And then came my parcel. I hadn't put on any scent in the morning because I had expected him, which was very difficult for me. So I sprayed something on my wrist and quickly smelled the red berries and amber. He seemed promising.....After about 10 minutes he began to change, he became oh so tender and cuddly, a delicate touch of leather, entwined with incense, but still a mild sweetness of sandalwood and beautifully dosed musk. This fragrance decelerates me, it gives me peace and gives me a feeling of security. This fragrance is subtly erotic, but no ripper. It reminds a bit of EROTIQUE by Dita, but is sweeter, milder, more delicate, creamier. I'm in love! I'm in love! He's in love! The bottle is beautiful and the fragrance lasts and lasts at a pleasant sillage. I will go to sleep immediately and spray it on me again before going to bed, because it calms me down so miraculously. He is grown up, he is quiet, but at the same time so incredibly exciting and restrained sexy.....a real pleasure!

A piece of gold
While browsing here on Parfumo, where else, I stumbled across Halston Woman Amber. The pyramid sounded very promising and therefore the fragrance was ordered blind for small money. No risk - no fun.

I had already heard the name Halston, but I didn't know where, when or in what context. So I did some research on the net and what I found out about the Halston brand I would like to share with you.

Roy Halston Frowick (1932 - 1990) was an American fashion designer who began his career as a hatter. The Pillbox he created is legendary and Jacky Kennedy wore this hat at the inauguration of her husband John F. Kennedy in 1961. Mr. Halston Frowick's triumphal procession was unstoppable when Mrs. Kennedy chose him as her private modiste and from then on his name was on everyone's lips. He achieved cult status when he started designing women's fashion. Among his prominent clients were none less than the unforgettable Liz Taylor, Liza Minelli, Lauren Bacall, Anjelica Huston, Bianca Jagger, etc. ...the list should be endless. In 1973 R. Halston Frowick sold his empire and when Halston Woman Amber came onto the market he had been dead for 20 years.

But now for the scent. I don't perceive mandarins. But a fruity note without acidity and if I am honest, I would not have recognized the currant. The aldehydes are very delicate, fine and very, very discreet, so that you hardly notice them.

Then a hint of finely ambered rose emerges, which is quickly accompanied by tuberose. Fragrances with tuberose like to get loud, some even quite shrill but that is not the case here at all. Musk, butter-soft suede leather, a hint of incense and warm sandalwood form a wonderful combination and round off the fragrance. For me HWA is a very successful composition which is soft, warm, cuddly and absolutely harmonious.

HWA is sold as women's fragrance, but in my opinion it can also be worn by men. Well-groomed creaminess, paired with fruit and tamed tuberose in combination with leather is everyone's favourite. Or?

The packaging is very valuable. The golden bottle with bent neck (I can't think of a better description) lives in a gold coloured cardboard box. When the lid is removed, the bottle is presented on a black base covered with a velvet-like fabric. Wow. Wow. That's what I call a successful performance.

I will wear HWA all year round, depending on my mood, but not in midsummer with humid temperatures above the 30° mark.

HWA is a more serious but by no means sad, adult scent and certainly not a party-grate and also not for girlies. Here you can convince with soft, gentle, warm tones.

Because I was immediately absolutely enthusiastic about HWA, I also ordered the silver sister, also blind. I hope she can inspire me in the same way. You'll find out. Promised.

A fragrance for the queen of your life
[short review]

I know that women mainly use perfume to please themselves while men use perfume to please women.
For women who would like to read a male opinion, here it goes:
Halston Woman Amber is a very seductive EdP.
It's a sweet amber floral fragrance that reminds me of the much more expensive Elixir des Merveilles. The Hermès fragrance is a little lighter but has the same sweetness and warmth in the heart.
Halston Perfume essentially opens with fruity-sweet aldehydes, develops with very strong notes of amber and tuberose that seem to last forever, and adds frankincense, sandalwood, and suede to the base. The performance? It's huge!
Any woman who wears this will become more sensual and powerful. It works like a magnet that attracts me. I have never let my wife run out of this precious jewel. I always have a spare bottle for her in my closet.
It really makes me love my wife even more and better.
I hope you enjoy it!

PS - Can men use it as well? Why not? If you love Halston Man Amber as I do, this fragrance is a little more floral and leatherier but gives you the same type of scent, without being a clone of its male brother. In summary, I do advise it for men as well. I use it from time to time.

Not quite the rave worthy gal she is said to be. Leans too fruity to keep it in the strict amber genre as a yardstick.

If you love Halston Amber for man as I do, this fragrance is a tad more flowery and leathery. Definitely, it may be used by men as well.
