Modern meets vintage, arrogance meets elegance, opposites attract
Temporaline - a fragrance that I had to take a long time to review, because words have not really done it justice so far. I therefore revised it several times and first wrote a statement about the oil before writing a full review. Now I'm ready, I think it's right, I've tested it extensively, almost bought it and thought about it for a long time. Let's get started.

I stumbled across Temporaline relatively by chance, as is not uncommon with Henry Jacques. While I'm not guided by "feminine" and "masculine" anyway and simply wear and test what I like, I have a relatively clear line and preference when it comes to fragrances. This one, at least according to the pyramid, is not one of them. Floral, iris, even a little old-fashioned, Chanel-inspired? Oh dear, please don't. Wrong, at least in terms of preference.
It was shown to me by one of the nice employees in the Paris boutique. After a lot of testing, this one came to light, I'll come to the notes separately in a moment, but it was interesting that it was on the shortlist right from the start, but was not yet fully convincing. He would make up for this later.

The scent progression is incredibly interesting, and anyone reading this will probably have their jaw drop - or not, because it sounds a bit like fiction.
Temporaline starts surprisingly fresh, even soapy and a little green, and although neither tea nor citrus is listed here, it reminds us of exactly one fragrance in the opening: Imagination by Louis Vuitton, but the drydown of the fragrance - here in the opening. Confusing, but good. Confirmed by two independent sources - my girlfriend and myself, and a lot of "experience" in wearing Imagination, because it is not only in my collection, but was also my signature for a long time. This opening says goodbye quickly. It becomes floral. Lily of the valley and ylang-ylang shine through - a dream, and even if too much floral is not my style, this fragrance simply develops beautifully. We experience a transformation and move from fresh and light masculine, modern and new-fangled associations to a clear vintage direction with a slightly feminine touch, which is probably not least due to the iris and musk, which slowly make their way forward in the drydown. A great image and a transformation that moves in my mind from LV Imagination to Chanel 31 Rue Cambon. Unique and incredibly special, at the same time completely fitting in a crazy way.

Here we have one of the most wearable HJ fragrances, which is absolutely unisex and at the same time exudes tremendous elegance without overdoing it with anything, and while HJ often has the problem of overdoing it a little with one of the notes, this one is really superbly balanced. The transformation is absolutely unique - a rollercoaster ride with no loops, just some high hills instead to push the tension and serotonin to the max without causing anxiety or apprehension.

Advice, packaging, the whole experience is just great at Henry Jacques, and that's what the brand is known for. H/S absolutely great - one of the few HJ Les Brumes that lasts really well on me. It easily lasts 10 hours on skin and several weeks on clothes. After a month, my hoodie still smells noticeably of Temporaline, even though I've sprayed Ganymede over it several times. The price is a bit steep here, and unfortunately that's just the way it is with Henry Jacques. None of the fragrances on offer are cheap, you have to accept that, and even if it's a shame, the natural substances smell great and you can feel that immediately.

For me, one of the most beautiful fragrances from the house, which deserves much more attention. Neither the imagination nor the Chanel association should guide you, instead you should simply enjoy this fragrance. Spring is coming, and this fragrance is a wonderful companion. Light jacket, rays of sunshine in the cool morning air, fresh bread from the bakery, slightly arrogant attitude, sunglasses, jacket for men, elegant dress for women. Hand in hand, nose up through Paris.

Beautifully made and very expensive
Many thanks to Sören for the bottling of Temporaline Extrait de Parfum :-) This is also a really nice fragrance from Henry Jacques but the price of a bottle is crazy...The durability is strong with 10 to 12 hours. The sillage is a little weaker in this respect.

The top note offers a beautiful combination of fresh, floral, creamy, sweetish, green and powdery notes. Centifolia, tuberose and ylang-ylang make an appearance here. The heart note is a sea of flowers consisting of lilac, iris, violet and lily of the valley. Over time, garden carnations become very prominent. The base smells of white musk but also spicy cloves.

It's a shame that the pricing policy behind it borders on usury. Otherwise, this is a really well-made perfume.
