Why does hardly anybody love him?
I really have to ask myself that here. Only 11 people who officially own Braukmann Evolution EdT, that really amazes me.
Why is that? Is it a general rejection of drugstore scents? Is it the very unpretentious and inconspicuous presentation that makes one carelessly walk by ?
Are scents from the house of Braukmann somehow frowned upon? This is a terrible pity, because evolution does not have to hide behind the "big" and famous fragrances. On the contrary, in the drugstore segment this is one of the most pleasant and valuable fragrances I know. And all this at an unbeatable price. Or is there a dark figure ?
No, I really have to take up the cudgels now and appreciate the very beautiful fragrance with a few warm words.
The fragrance wheel has certainly not been reinvented here and one has oriented oneself towards other "all-round fragrances" that have existed for some years now (I don't want to say that that would be bad), but you get well-done, solid and absolutely portable fragrance craft for your money.
When I first wore it a few years ago, I noticed a very close relationship to both Roma Uomo and Minotaure, Evolution unites the advantages of both fragrances and yet makes something very unique out of it.
I have both Roma Uomo and Minotaure here and could compare. There are differences in the fragrance compositions but also some similarities All three of them have the same fresh and lively start with citrus and herbs, during evolution a certain cooling spiciness is still noticeable, could there also be some mint? This is followed by a flowery-sweet phase with lots of rose geranium, which is present in all three. But evolution takes its own steps here, because the herbaceous, slightly pungent freshness is still maintained.
Later it becomes a bit spicier and woody, I guess the given "woody notes" include cedar among others, which fits in here very well. Rounded off with ambergris and I think I can smell a hint of vanilla as well.
Evolution is generally less complex and passes through the development of fragrance quite quickly, it lacks the slightly animalistic undertone of Minotaure and the rather sweet and fruity course of Roma.
The sweetness is easy to perceive but is by no means crushing.
I think that with Evolution, Braukmann has succeeded in creating a really beautiful and very well wearable fragrance that may suit many occasions. Due to a not so huge scent veil it looks very good in the office (but you will be noticed), at leisure activities it is a really nice companion and also in the evening I can imagine it very well.
The durability is really more than decent with a good 6 hours, even after that it is still very gently present on the skin.
The bottle is more than simple and matter-of-fact, but here the inner values apply. Evolution smells to me like much more than 20 € for 75 ml.
Anyway, I am very glad that I did not walk carelessly past the shelf at that time. The Braukmann fragrances are usually not on the fragrance shelf, but in the care products, quite inconspicuous. That could also be a reason for overlooking them Recently, I was able to get hold of 2 bunker bottles reduced by 70%, plus shower gel and deodorant, when a perfumery was sold. The entire care series is high-quality and perfectly coordinated.
Unfortunately, the Evolution series as it stands has been discontinued. I don't know the successor series yet, but I will test it on occasion I can only recommend everyone to take a look here if you like fresh and spicy scents with moderate sweetness. Evolution is still very cheap to have
It pays to love him a little. Because as we've seen many times before: Good things don't have to cost a fortune!
