All waltz!
Every season is beautiful, has its own charm; but for me, early summer, late May and June, with the first sensual fragrant blossoms and all the promise resting in them, is still the most beautiful.
And "La Belle Saision" by Houbigant is just that: a beautiful season!
(Even if my very "private Luca Turin" = Yatagan seems to struggle a bit with these scent creatures! Maybe he got lost in the generous scent-fall under flowering mimosas ...)
Spring, with its awakening of the senses, is still not far away; still reminds us of its existence with a few late arrivals here and there, and is probably not yet ready to retire completely.
They're always nosing around!
But this cannot daunt the enchanting apricot blossom; in its youthful beauty it pleases excellently, and smells accordingly. This is her time!
Pink pepper, in a fine dose dampens this floral enthusiasm, knowing well that the real beauties are yet to follow.
The delicate, loose sunflower-bearing skirt is woven in warm, tartly fragrant mimosa yellow, fragile, a bit waxy orange blossom pink, and white lily of the valley, already swaying serenely in the gentle round dance of softly singing and dancing scent spirits.
The fragrance-laden light layers of the long wide skirt set in motion by each turn and so all the previous fragrances get into a buoyant scent spiral.
"La Belle Saison": a wide summer skirt falling in loose courses; the matching something to the apricot delicate vintage fragrance top, studded with gorgeous apricot blossoms at the neckline and a sprig as the only strap, adorning the corsage and a beautiful shoulder.
From this festive robe celebrating early summer, two slender arms and a delicate neck with a fine little head stretch out: a flower and fragrance dancer!
She twirls immediately first in fine summer-light fragrance spirals around her:
Fragrance pirouette after fragrance pirouette! The summery fragrances spray fine sparks!
No, it won't be the 32 turns of Odile from Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake", but it looks and smells beautiful!
Her fragile little feet dance through erotic-locking sandalwood oil, resinous-spicy labdanum as well as some branches of flowering cistus and finally land in the musk.
Ha, the pace picks up, the powdery musk dusts up and delights so, like a fine shower of confetti,
Summer dress and dancer; it does well on warm skin!
What more do we want: we've danced into a perfume comment here in "La Belle Saison"!
With the well-equipped durability, many hours of a magical summer night can be danced through: in the round dance, in the waltz and of course in the Viennese waltz!
Tonight should have been the Opera Ball in Vienna; unfortunately, that is not the case this year. Too bad!
And yet, after all the ceremony of announcing "La Belle Saison" appropriately, it should now be:
"All Waltz!"
