Inedible Chocolate Heliotrope
Hove's take on heliotrope is gorgeous. The opening seems to have a bit of dewy lilac and something slightly green and herbal over an already pronounced heliotrope note. As this dries down it becomes all about a warm, fluffy, almondy heliotrope with a slight soapy nuance and a bit of a darker powdered base that seems to include both chocolate and amber. It is very wearable and though it ultimately smells inedible, it does walk right up to the edge of being gourmand. It is worth noting that there's none of that baby wipe smell that sometimes comes with heliotrope.
