Hugo Boss' wolf in sheep's clothing

I was at the airport and still had a little time to kill, so I went straight to the duty free area to the perfumes. Once there, a red/translucent bottle caught my eye. The Hugo Boss Oud Saffron. Arrogantly I thought to myself, oh what? What can a Boss Bottled fragrance do? However, the oud / saffron combo has long since captured me.
I spray it on and don't trust my nose.
A bed of roses stretches out before me with a hint of saffron and a background of oud.
The rose is definitely the dominant note in this fragrance, but even for me, as a rose hater, it is very pleasant and simply fits in with the overall fragrance, together with the saffron and the oud.
All in all, Hugo Boss Oud Saffron is a super fragrance with an incredible H/S.
My only criticism would be that it smells very slightly synthetic.

Beginners look no further

This is one of the best beginners ouds. Strong, manly yet rosey oud. Oud is a particularly strong wood note, that smells wet, and alike to a damp animal. This stuff is very well blended with synthetics to create a masterpiece oud. While there are ALOT of rose oud combos, this is very safe, as compared to something like Luna by ATH. If your scared or want a safer oud experience, this is nice!

For me, the worst of the three.

I loved it, despite the negative reviews, it's a great fragrance, the oud and saffron mix nicely, without being too heavy, it lasts a long time, it's unconventional but very pleasant. Looks a bit like kalan from PDM, not for a blind buy but weirdly nice and addictive, yet it is the worst of the three special editions. For me the best is "Oud", followed by "Aromatic", which has a great resemblance to Fleur de Male from JPG and Custo Man.

Trojan horse

When I first read the fragrance notes of Boss Bottled Oud Saffron, I went straight for it. A combination of sweet, attractive rose, elegant saffron and masculine oud. A simple yet compelling and beautiful combination. I was completely convinced and immediately bought a whole bottle. A bit negligent, the blind purchase. I realized that in retrospect. From this mistake, I have learned the lesson to test a perfume better always before.
What did I get?
I would describe this perfume as one for teenage girls. You get a very, very, very sweet and unfortunately chemical rose scent. Saffron and oud play to my sensation, unfortunately, hardly in the orchestra.
To be fair, I must say: this fragrance has also reaped a lot of positive feedback here. Maybe my bottle was a Monday product or something is wrong with my sense of smell.
I respect the voices of the lovers of this perfume, but for me it is unfortunately nothing.
