Of course I know that "Acqua Chiara" means clear water and I also know that Chiaras/Klaras water would otherwise be called "Acqua della Chiara".
But nevertheless I like this piece of jewellery (I could also write "preciousness" like Gelis) much better, if I imagine it as "la bella Chiara", as a racy Florentine.
And with this charming woman I now stroll for a few hours through Florence: this city of the Medici and the artists. And, of course, the most striking women worth seeing.
Not only Florence, where the tourist snakes (of whichever kind they belong to) can be found; no, the small alleys with their original shops and the beautiful gardens will be our destination. We just let ourselves drift while we talk lively.
Bergamot and peach (a completely different combination!) accompany our first steps fruity-fresh.
The ripe and juicy peach must have recently left its native tree; its aroma is wonderful. - He lures you to bite!
In the gardens Iris greet, their proud swords decorate the borders beside the white-gravelled ways. (Which are a torment for the fine leather-covered heels of our sandals.)
Thus the smell of iris, as always reminiscent a little of fragrant powder, fills the warm summer air.
The somewhat bitter tenderness of the cyclamen - a little hidden in undergrowth and semi-shade - mixes cheerfully with it!
Dot with so much fragrant beauty, we're looking for a Gelateria. We also quickly find one: as is well known, this is not too difficult in Italy.
The local speciality is violet ice cream with a pinch of nutmeg!

With my preference since my youth for violet pastilles, I cannot resist this delicacy of course.
We fill our cornetti with two balls of nutmeg violets and one ball of vanilla ice cream each.
La bella Chiara and I now find a bench in the shimmering shade of a tree; the scent of the previously explored garden blows around us. Violets and nutmeg mix in there and already the first hint of vanilla!
The result is a multifaceted scent painting, typical of one of the former Italian city states. A variety of arts flourished here, including the art of making perfumes and fragrances.
Not only the knowledge of the monks in the old monasteries is still used today; also the secrets of nature and all kinds of spices flow into the development of a new liquid treasure.
Heliotropin and vanilla - two sisters in the fragrance! - impregnate the hitherto light, fruity-floral spice with Italian extravagance!
Their slightly eroticizing warmth suits the lady Chiara very well.
Cedar wood expands the fragrant horizon and paves the way for a wide aromatic trail of golden brown shimmering patchouli.
"Acqua Chiara" gets with it the maturity and also a little valuable patina of an enchanting fragrance.
This fragrance conveys the "happiness of seeing the sun play on a woman's naked shoulder".
I read this sentence recently in the newspaper and noticed it: here it fits, according to my feeling, quite excellently!
