A chemically embroidered summer
Hellohooo, everybody :)
Today I come to a fragrance where you will surely ask yourselves why I describe it now of all times, when the weather has become much colder because it is autumn and soon winter is just around the corner!

Because today I come to Limone di Sicilia by I Profumi di Firenze, a fragrance that already shows from the name that it could be a fresh summer fragrance and therefore somehow has nothing to lose now, at least on the cooler days.

Well, here's the thing: I got the scent as a sample (thank you very much!). And there's not much left. Until next summer the scent could be fizzled out or tilted, and especially you eternally sniffing freaks howl immediately when something like this happens to a scent, right? So I'm sure you'll agree with me that I've now tested the fragrance to be on the safe side, so as not to let it deteriorate... and of course to be able to give away my mustard here at Parfumo. Apart from that, you can put the scent into your watchlist if it appeals to you, because what's the cliché about it: The next summer will definitely come... which I don't like at all when I think of exhausting heat waves *sigh* ...

Well, I come first to the fragrance, before I complain even more about the summer and describe extensively, how great the winter is nevertheless :D

The fragrance:
So... baaah... the scent begins with a rather strict chemical scent, which at first is very reminiscent of detergents. At first I thought that the fragrance was already tilted, but it seems to be, because if I remember correctly, some fresh fragrances of this brand also start a bit violent.
In any case, the lemon slowly crystallises out of the chemical scent cloud, together with quite a few herbaceous or kitchen herb-like scents. Verbena is gradually added, but somehow does not yet immediately give off this well-known lemon balm scent (although I have read that lemon balm or verbena is the actual term and verbena is just a fragranceless, medicinal herb... hmm... first of all I use these terms synonymously. If it's wrong, you can smart-arse me in the comments :D).
But here we go: After a while I smell the vervain better, but the lemons remain more intense.
In the base, the fragrance remains reasonably fresh through the verbena and lemons. I continue to perceive the herbaceous scents, which, however, occasionally appear slightly biting. Unfortunately, this biting, dry feeling even becomes really intense later on, which I don't like at all and for me personally the fragrance sinks strongly in its quality or smell, because it comes across to me in a very overwhelming way. Oh, and I couldn't smell orange blossoms.

Sillage and shelf life:
Sillage is mediocre to weak, as is often the case with fresh and citric fragrances. Of course, the chemical-like scent at the beginning can be smelled more intensely, but it gradually fades away. The shelf life is six or seven hours, which is good for a summer fragrance, but more than half of it unfortunately only smells this described, stuffy herb fragrance.

The bottle:
The bottle has an oval shape and you can see a beautiful label on the front. The neck is also an oval disc and the transparent and trapezoidal lid sits on it. All in all maybe not very spectacular, but still quite nice.

Okay, so apart from the beginning, which seemed like a heavy detergent to me, the scent unfolded afterwards without any further chemistry. It is a citric scent and therefore smells like lemons and verbena, less like neroli. It doesn't offer much in itself, but it could have been refreshing on hot days, if it wasn't for the somewhat biting herb scent that appeared towards the end. This really spoils my scent a lot, because it makes the scent dry and stuffy, so I don't want the scent to stick to me on very hot days, although technically the scent should be a summer scent...

Anyone who likes lemon balm, for example, should try Annick Goutal's Ninfeo Mio, which is an excellent scent for summer. Otherwise I can't think of any other scents,... I know,... I have already tested and described so many scents here and should be able to give much better examples, but somehow my head is just so empty... or filled with other things,... like Halloween, Christmas (yes it must be well considered where the Christmas tree comes later he he)... etc.. etc.. :D

Well, like I said, the scent isn't so good for me. You can test it or not, it's up to you! But maybe you like it better!

That's it for today, you people :))
I wish you all a nice evening, until the next time :)

Lime dances Tarantella
During a conversation with Yatagan about the scents of "I Profumi di Firenze", I remembered that a few months ago he had sent me a sample of "Limone di Sicilia".
I had truly forgotten it and thank him very much for reminding me of this delicious mood cheering.

Verbena is a fragrance-intensive and also optical joy for every garden bed; also for balcony and terrace.
I love this slightly tart, a little dark, but yet fresh scent of verbena.
This bears many beautiful names as a medicinal herb: Wishweed, cat's blood herb, druid's or saga's herb.
Especially I like this herbal power dried as a tea preparation.
Verbena tea works against respiratory problems and smoothes stressed nerves.
One or two cups of it solve tension states and stress consequences and provide for restful sleep!
A versatile fragrance beauty so!
By the way, many French people like to drink a cup of verbena tea after a meal instead of an espresso: the famous "Tisane". (Not only Hercule Poirot swears by it!)
The dried cabbage is so voluminous that I always take an extra fabric bag with me when I buy a 100 gram bag; and hardly arrived at home, I enjoy first of all this delightful smell, which rises from this vacuum bag.

With this "Limone di Sicilia" opens my senses; the first spraying makes me happy and relaxed.
Wonderful deep herbaceous aromas, but quickly superimposed by the freshness of the special Sicilian limes.
Limone is the scented mistress here, but leaves the verbena her place. So this fragrance becomes more pleasant for me: fresh and herbaceous and not too much bizzelnd in nose and eyes!
A beautiful Sicilian; but also a bit of a "land child"; elegance gives way here to lively, slightly sparkling naturalness.
But what would a citrus fragrance be without the beauty and tenderness of orange blossom?
It enchants again and again and fits perfectly this time, too; "Limone di Sicilia" gets a hearty warmth!

This fresh and yet rich canon of scents is a real joy, not only on warm summer days.
He carries a lot of the special fluid of the rustic-beautiful, historical and rich green Mediterranean island in himself.
"Limone di Sicilia" vibrates with life; life in the shadow of a still active volcano.
So this scent composition, created with a lot of skill and empathy, whirls, reminds of beautiful Tarantella dancing girls and women: a very special kind of "dance on the volcano" develops!

Like most fragrance creations of "I Profumi di Firenze" - still an underestimated brand, but loved by their lovers - "Limone di Sicilia" is not a permanent guest.
For a few hours, this magical aromatic arrangement is wrapped and played around in a refreshing and friendly way.
With me Verbene beckons again and again: so completely she cannot be put into the corner.

I would like to thank Yatagan for the bottling he left me and especially for reminding me - even if unintentionally - of it.
I'll return the favor with a cup of verbena tea!
