A contrast of hot and cold nuances
Burning Ice comes with a nice bottle resembling the shape of a square block of ice, with light blue juice inside. Despite the aquatic tones of the juice, it's not straight summer marine fresh. It's called burning ice because of its complex development from opening to the drydown, it plays with opposite accords. As soon as it opens up its very sweet, velvety and citrus bergamot is the first note you get. It is bright but the contrast of fresh, warm, and spicy notes kind of clash together and make you wonder what type of smell you're going to get. Dashes of chic bergamot and chilled red apple join resinous mild cardamom to create a neat, exhilarating top. The cardamom adds a tip of spicy, yet it is not dominant.

But after about 15 minutes this settles down and you're left with a nice mix of patchouli and virile sea cliff accords merge with green clary sage, a bracing scent with leathery undertones. I do not get earthy patchouli, yet a modern and gentle one, and aquatic nuances that are not salty at all.

This fragrance dries down into a buttery base of vanilla, musk and golden amber that brings the heat. The base is a blend of fruity apple, mild cardamom, creamy musk, and luscious vanilla. The longer this sits on your skin the vanilla takes over and you're left with vanilla with faint traces of apple in the background. The dry-down is absolutely wonderful, sweet and calming, sexy and inviting, notably if you like sweet frags.

Not going to lie it is a little bit synthetic. I do like this scent yet there are so many scents that I would pick over this for what this type of scent does. The performance was 3-6 hours and only slightly below average projection. Recommended for daily use on springtime. For the price, you really can’t complain.
